My wife and I decided after 2 weeks of eating home cooking that we'd drive through the McDonald's on Steptoe in Kennewick, WA, to get something for a quick dinner this evening. I was upset to find after placing our order that this store in its interactions with customers showed complete disregard for the fact that we are in a major pandemic right now. Neither the cashier at the first window nor the food server at the second window took any precautions to minimize the potential for transmission of COVID-19--No masks and no maintaining of sufficient separation between restaurant staff and the customer in the car. Neither of these measures for minimizing transmission of this highly contagious virus were taken. Such precautions would just be good practice for a business, but they are also required by the State for all interactions in public (wearing masks and maintaining 6 feet distance from other people). Maintaining 6 feet separation may be difficult at these windows, but much greater separation than that provided by the restaurant staff could easily be maintained by some simple practices. For example, in taking payment, ask the customer to place the means of payment on the edge outside the window or counter just inside the window, back away from the window as the payment is placed, and then when returning change or the card used for payment place it similarly for return to the customer and back away again. Similar steps could be taken when providing the food to customers in their cars. The complete disregard for these current requirements of the State of Washington during what might turn out to be the peak of transmission cannot be excused. The owner and manager of the restaurant are responsible to train their staff in good, safe practices and monitor staff compliance with them, which any responsible owner would ensure under current circumstances. Neglect of this responsibility is just...
Read moreWhichever manager that was working around 3:30 pm on 10/6/2023, female has no professionalism whatsoever. For what fast food workers are getting paid and how much the food costs there you think they’d hire better employees especially managers. I use the app almost every day to either pickup at the mobile spots or go through the drive thru. I had ordered a couple things to pick up but forgot 2 items…so when I got that order I just went thru the drive thru to order them instead of waiting in the mobile pick up spot. They asked if I wanted to use my drive thru code, I did. When I got to the window to pay they said I still needed to pay…I told them no I used the app. They said “it’s just for points” no it’s not. Whatever not a big deal it was $3.67. When I got to the second window however I just wanted to ask the question of did it change using the app thru the drive thru?? I go there a lot for my pregnancy cravings. I only ever use the app. She was very hostile, seemed annoyed I asked a question. She said it’s “just for points mam” I said no it’s not I use it everyday. My card is linked and I tried to show her she rudely said “uhhh yeah so do I don’t know what to tell you “. It was 3$ whatever. Rude, hostile. Rolled her eyes. I just had a question about something I use daily changing…get home..guess what. The app did work and I got charged twice. Once on the app once on my Apple Pay. I’ve had so many problems with the afternoon staff there. Morning staff is great…I probably won’t use this McDonald’s again. It’s not hard to just be nice and answer a question you should know...
Read moreSo last night one 1/11/24 I ordered a double quarter pounder cheese and ketchup and had Uber deliver it below. I will attach the pictures of what I was delivered when I got this I called the Uber driver back He said he was gonna come back while I was waiting for him. I called the restaurant. A male answered the phone stating he was the shift manager in charge which this morning 1/12/24 I have found out from the actual store manager that he had no mail managers on duty last night, and proceeded to question me three times over if I was calling the correct store When in fact, I stated twice before, which store I was doing with I also mentioned that I had call log, Needless to say, the manager this morning, did nothing about it So I ended up calling corporate office and telling them I did tell them I could provide the pictures as well. This has been a consistent. Last Friday I pulled in there, ordered the same thing double quarter pounder cheese, and catchup only large size And had I not looked at my receipt it would’ve been wrong. Look at the pictures below. By the way, the Uber Driver never showed back up and this never got resolved. This particular location is...
