The worst excuse for 'Italian' food we have ever tried. We actually drove the food back to the restaurant.
We were so excited to try Tenuta's, since we moved here people have been telling us how good it is. We placed an order for delivery, and we had it within the hour. Open up the pan of Mostaccioli and were incredibly disappointed that the meatballs were left off the pasta. Called the manager to complain about the food, and he said they would give us a credit for next time. Then we actually taste the food..biggest mistake ever.
We ordered the Meatball Mostaccioli. It's just plain, tasteless bland marinara sauce. Which I could forgive, except this is an Italian place that over cooked pasta.
"Homemade Breaded Mushrooms" that's what your menu says....instead we got doughy frozen fried mushrooms (which your cook told us, when my husband mentioned that they tasted frozen)
Minestrone soup was watered out tomato basil soup with some noodles tossed in...again tasteless.
We called about the food and how disappointing it was, and the manager of the night, Mark I believe, said he would give us a refund. Drive the food back and low and behold no refund.
While my husband was in the restaurant returning the food, the manager and cook were aghast that someone would not like their food. All they could say was how much everyone loved it, if the food is always cooked and tastes the same way as it did last night then I do not see how. So now I am out the 50+ dollars for food that we did not eat and that was thrown in the trash.
We actually stopped for Wendy's on the way home, so that we actually had something for dinner. Not the way I imagined our wedding anniversary dinner to go.
The best part of my meal was the Wendy's we picked up on the way home from returning...
Read moreIt all started with or interactions with the staff. We walked in and were told we could choose a seat, someone would be with us shortly. This statement was true. However, our waitress was out of it. I don't know if it was her first day, or if she is normally not a waitress. She seemed poliet enough.
We ordered a water and a Coke. She came back with the drinks and handed the wrong drink too the wrong person. Keep in mind there was two other tables at the time and two dining staff. Okay once is fine. Later she refilled our drinks, walk past or table with our drinks, turned looking to remember where the drinks went, started to set or drinks down with the wrong drink too the wrong person, then changed her mind. This was the worst of our experience. However, paying attention to other customers this was a reoccurring trend. She came to 2 tables looking for the person with the fish dinner, they weren't at the tables she asked. One table of two an individual got their meal and started eating, the other individual waited another 10 minutes for their meal, and asked the waitress twice when her meal would be coming. Yet another table, two individuals were brought their meals at different timings, again they had to ask, had a drink mix up, and was missing silverware to eat with. At this point it became funny. What the heck were we going to get in our pizza!?
Our order was correct. The pizza was just okay though.
Nothing about the service was great, the place kinda had holes in the walls from moving tables, you get paper on top of your tablecloth, and the pizza is just okay. I don't think we will...
Read moreThe food was pretty decent, but everything else was terrible. Our waitress took our order and left the menus on the table. When our main course was delivered we had to ask to get the salad plates and bowls removed from the table so we had enough room to eat comfortably. That was almost the last time we saw our waitress. We were all finished eating and she hadn't been to our table once since delivering the food. I needed a drink refill, so I walked up to the front counter looking for help. There I see our waitress yacking on her cellphone, not the business phone. Instead of saying "I'll be with you in a moment", she ducked around the corner without even acknowledging my presence. A couple minutes later she comes out to our table with the bill.
Furthermore, my mother in law ordered the all you can eat personal pizza. You get a 9" pizza, and if you would like more you can order another. She only finished about half of the first and only pizza she ordered. When she asked the waitress for a container to bring the leftovers home, the waitress said "No, we don't give take home containers for that menu item." I understand that, you don't want people taking advantage of the all you can eat part. But my mother in law did not order any extra. It was left from the initial order. Still the waitress refused to give her a typical foam container. Then the waitress puts the bill on the table next to us and leaves.
With service like this, I expect they'll be out of...
