I am shocked to see this place has 4+ stars... maybe I went at a time where someone called in sick and someone else who had never cooked before was covering them. (Sept 20th around 8pm) ... I do understand that things happen and occasionally service or quality get shorted. I have not written any review in over a year but I felt obligated to due to the extent of the bad quality of this food.
My orders were offensively bad. Over cooked, under cooked and bad quality all to the extreme. Felt a bit ill and my stomach started growling upset after taking a few bites. I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but this is my health and well being that are being affected here. I ordered through grub hub or door dash so they must have assumed they wouldn't have to deal with the upset customer. I would really like to see whoever cooked and prepared our meals take a few bites and tell me it's edible.
Bucks Teriyaki- feel free to contact me to possibly remove this review if you can give me a fair explanation of why...
Read moreI have mixed feelings! The tempura is frozen and fried but pretty good and comes with its own sauce. The sushi is HUGE, but the spicy mayo is really good and all the components were decent! The chicken katsu? LMAO. I've never seen more anemic chicken! I thought it would be terrible by the looks of it, but it actually wasn't too bad! There were some pieces underneath with more meat on them and the sauce was good! I'm wondering if maybe the katsu was cut but not cooked all the way and then thrown back in the oil? Or it was made and needed to be reheated? Not sure what happened. But it was oil soaked and shriveled up... But also not horrible somehow! Id def give this place another shot. We all have off days or make mistakes and my meal was still enjoyable! I'd love if they made their own tempura but I get that it's a lot of work and they'd have to charge more. The portions are generous and the price is decent. I'd say it's...
Read moreI recommended this place to my boss. He went there on my recommendation and asked for a cup of water with his order. He also wanted a straw, to which they gave him one that was short and just sunk in the cup so as to say. He asked for a longer one because there was a pile of longer ones by them. They said no and showed him how to "properly" use the short straw. This was pure mockery. The longer straws were taken and cut in half to save pennies on the dollar. For a flourishing high rated business, this type of penny pinching behavior should be avoided. I don't understand why it was so difficult to give a straw that would meet the needs of a customer. It would be one thing if it was an unreasonable request but to mock and say no over a request for a longer straw. Completely unprofessional. Just hearing him tell me his experience made me...
