Kent, WA. Food is miles better than The Ram and Red Robin where I also ate at.
2/21/22 Kent, WA How fast this establishment is going down the drain. I went in today to take my 8 year old grand daughter for a late lunch. I gave a rating of four star when it first opened. Now I give it it a 1/2 star. Why? Because when I came in, there was no one to greet me and stood there for a long time until I was noticed from the kitchen. As we were walking to be seated, the place was a wreck. The floors were a mess and some tables not washed. It was 2pm and not busy at all. When our server brought our drinks, I showed her the coffee rings on my table. By now, I started noticing the manager and cook and the other server having a good ole time in the kitchen! Talking about way too noisey, I could not talk to my guest in front of me. I kid you not! On top of that, they including the manager all were not wearing their mask, except for our server. (There were 2 servers. )They were moving free like there wasn't a care in the world all caught up in their own fun meanwhile customers could see them goofing off. Talk about unprofessional! Entering IHOP it says that a mask must be worn and to show proof of vaccination. I had to show proof, but all the while the employees were not wearing their masks. Now, I've got my food and it was mediocer. The server was disorganized as my Grand daughter waited forever to let the server know she forgot the pancake syrup. Her pancake was ice cold when the syrup finally came. My omlete was served with out the broccoli and had to wait forever. The broccoli was low quality and had some brown on the crown and some black blotches on the bottom of the stems. We were there for a quite a while and by the time we were ready to leave, not one table was washed nor any place swept. By far, that was the most disgusting time I've ever had. I have been frequenting Federal Way's IHOP on my way home from work and find this place run much better and much more superior than Kent. It's cleaner by far, food is taken seriously and the workers do their job and organized. I think ihops needs to get serious and hire people who want to work and follow the rules even though there was no one to keep them accountable, oh, that's right, the manager was there, but she was no better. I can assure you from what I experienced today, I will not set foot back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there on 12/19/2022 at 7:30 PM. There was an African American woman with curly hair (Shaylyn) as my server. I was with my cousin sister. First when we entered to the restaurant, the server said we are closed and started making faces instead of welcoming us. I told her that it says OPEN. She asked us āhere to pick up or what.ā We said we are here to dine-in. Then she said āOh my god, weāre already tired. Anyways..(she grabbed the menu and started walking) without asking us to follow her or anything. We were just standing there at the front desk looking at each other because we were not sure if she was willing to serve us. I took a few steps forward and found her placing menu cards on a table. She went inside the kitchen and started cursing while talking to the someone in the kitchen. Me and my cousin sister got very nervous as server was very upset and cursing seeing us. For 7-10 minutes there was total silence since we were the only customers inside the restaurant. Finally she came back to get our order. When I started placing my order she said we are out of this, we tried ordering like 7 different items but she said none of them are available at the moment ( with no apologies) It was very strange, disappointing and disrespectful. We understand sometimes restaurants run out of supplies and can not offer certain meals but 7-10 different items? Including gluten free! Then we left the restaurant and came back home hungry in a shock. Never returning back and do not recommend anyone to go there and get treated like this and get the experience that I have had. Note to Shaylyn: be kind to others and first to yourself. We all have some bad days in life but you donāt wanna bleed on those who did not cut you. Life is short. No one is deserve to be treated like you treated us. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSince I saw that there has been a New IHOP opened closer to my Home I thought I would go ahead & get the great breakfast that Iāve enjoyed for many years. Well, I was sadly surprised after going there the past 3 times in the past 2 months nothing has improved. Very poor service, the quality of the food was not up to the normal IHOP standard, & not even the Pancakes were worth eating. The first time I was the only customer & after being seated I had to wait almost 10 minutes to order. The second time I went in the service was a little faster but I must have gotten the same cook. So I thought I would try one more time. The server was quick to greet me but again I had to wait almost 10 minutes to order. There was 1 other Customer in the restaurant but there was at least 2 Servers. & a Cook & another person possibly a Manager. I ordered All you can eat Pancakes. It took another 10 minutes for a stack of just Pancakes. While waiting I could hear the 3 Employees chatting near the kitchen while waiting for my order. Finally received my order & noticed an elderly couple arriving with 3 possibly their Grandchild. They stood standing at the front entrance waiting for service & then noticed 2 more car full of young adults entering behind them. I approached the Servers in by the kitchen & notified them that Customers were waiting to be seated. While leaving to pay my bill found out that it was their Grandfatherās Birthday. A total of 14 came to celebrate. I wished them a happy celebration & left hoping that there experience there would be much better than what I have had. Life goes on & Iāve decided to go back to my regular IHOP...
