GET THE PHO OUT PHO & THAI BISTRO — Restaurant in Kettering

I ordered the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi and the get the pho out with the glass noodles. 1st the Bahn Mi: absolutely phenomenal! So much flavor and they don't skimp on the meat for the price they charge for it. A little more cilantro than I prefer and wish it had a little more jalapeños but they don't lose points on that. I would have taken a picture of it but i inhaled it, my bad. Now the pho: it was ok. It was lacking in a lot of flavor and even tho they provide little packets of Sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce, it seemed like they were expecting those to help carry the flavor of the dish and it just doesnt. They do provide A LOT of meat for it and I ain't mad. It has sliced beef, tender meatballs, beef tendon, and beef tripe. If you're picky about texture, I wouldn't recommend this dish because the tendon is gelatinous and the tripe is....different, a little prickly, I like it, the texture just was unexpected but I wanted to try it since I've never had beef tripe before. The sliced beef was a bit dry, I get why they serve it the way they do because in my experience the sliced beef is suppose to be served raw and gets par boiled when the broth is poured on top, but I can understand people's issue with that if they're not expecting it. The meatballs are really good, has a little flavor but i did like the subtlety of it. Would for sure try again, but maybe bring my own salt. Overall, the food is very warming and the broth is comforting, just need more flavor. Again, wish it also had a little more jalapeños, but otherwise the veggies were all really fresh looking and crisp. The place is new and only does takeout...

1.THIS IS A THAI RESTAURANT the name is insane. The Vietnamese food IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY AUTHENTIC. The bahn me missed ingredients and an a garbage roll from kroger.

The pho is 100% beef bullion powder it's terrible. And.... again... lacks proper veg.

The fried apps are a joke. The "chicken wings" are smallw3r than my thumb.

None of the sauces are remotely Vietnamese.

Wanted to try another place that housed Banh Mi. I open the paper wrapping up the sandwich and it was a lot of bread and vegetables but very little meat. I got the bbq pork and the beef sandwiches. 31 dollars on grubhub. I dont think I’ll be ordering from this place again.
