Onlywood Grill — Restaurant in Key West

The Capresse salad was not good/ tiny in size & pricey- with a stingy amount of pesto ( I had to request more pesto 🌿). The chicken 🍗 wing appetizer was tiny & cold & the side of sauce was cold as well. Happy hour wine 🍷 glass $9 was the “ happy hour price “! $36 plus a tips 💵 for cold food & tiny portions! Very unsatisfied!! 👎 The pizza 🍕 did look 👀 good - wish I would have ordered that… but I feel ripped off … & left feeling like I was served less than even average type food. It was like they had the Capresse salad sitting in fridge for several days already (old )!! Even the chicken 🍗 wings seemed like they were precooked several days before / left in fridge & served to me cold ( not hot ) & very dried out & old tasting!! Very disappointed as this use to be a favorite place for me! No more- Onlywood got the last money 💴 I’ll ever spend there. I’ll never suggest it to friends after the food experience I just had this evening!! What’s worse is it was my belated birthday 🥳 get together with a close friend !! Worst birthday restaurant experience- I’ve ever had! 🤮 Unless you just order the pizza 🍕 Avoid this place.. Unfortunately it’s gone down hill !! 👎 The atmosphere was ok & the waitress was nice but the food I was served was awful sadly!! No wonder 💭 they’re not as busy as they use to be… Food quality has def gone down! Too many great restaurants in key West Island 🏝️ to dine at.. I’m taking my business to other restaurants in key west .. 💃 I can actually cook 👩‍🍳 much better at home 🏠 as well.. Unfortunately- it was a waste of my money 💴 dining there .. Lesson learned .. My group of four ate there three nights ago. The food wasn't horrible, but definitely not worth what they are charging. The only issue with the food was my sister in law had a salad with shrimp and the salad was extremely salty. When she initially said that her food was salty we all tried some and was shocked on how salty it was and she did not eat it. Our server seemed very annoyed that she had to be at work and when it was brought to her attention about the salty salad, her response was , you ate some of it, so it can't be that bad. The next day we realized that an expensive uv blocking umbrella was forgotten at the restaurant. I called that day when they were open and they said they had it. When I arrived at the restaurant, the host went to the lost and found and returned with the incorrect umbrella. I informed him it wasn't the right umbrella and explained what it looked like. The host apologized and stated that, that was the only umbrella that they had in their lost and found. A servernear where we were talking stated oh I know what your talking about, I actually have it. The employee then went, somewhere, and came back with my umbrella. The host then told him that he was going to be fired and was lucky that they needed him for his shift that night. Dishonest staff took advantage of a foreign guest. My brother who barely speaks English went in. He called me to translate to the server. I stated that he didn't speak much English and instead of taking care of him, the server Ivan took it as an invitation to steal his money. The server Ivan gave him the worst service then added 20% tip for himself without my brother knowing. My brother saw that the math did not add up and that he hadn't added the tip yet, he called me for help. I confronted the waiter on the phone and his response was "that's how we normally do it". The server wasn't able to show me anywhere that stated "20% gratuity is mandatory for dine-in." I asked to speak with a manager but he handed the phone to his fellow server who pretended to be a manager. It took me 20 minutes on the phone to get the mess sorted out. None of the staff either thanked my brother for the business nor apologized for their dishonest actions. This is very infuriating that no one showed any sign of remorse. It sounds like they do this to non-English speaking customers on a regular basis. No one at the restaurant took any responsibility. There are a lot of good, honest restaurants in Key West, no need to subject yourself to this awful place. If you're a foreigner just stay clear...
