I walked in expecting a sandwich. What I got was a spiritual experience wrapped in sourdough.

Let’s start with the bread — warm, lightly toasted, and clearly baked by someone who’s been personally wronged by bland carbs. It crackled like a polite applause when I bit into it. Inside? Layers of pastrami so tender I briefly considered writing it a thank-you note. The chesses were melted to silky perfection — like it just got a massage and is now living its best life in sandwich form.

There was also some lettuce (crisp, probably from a local farm run by a man named Carl who sings to his crops), a tomato slice that actually tasted like a tomato (a rarity), and a mayo ketchup sauce I can only describe as “what confidence tastes like.”

By the end, I was full, happy, and wondering if I could legally marry this sandwich in at least one U.S. state.

This food truck is Puerto Rican through and through — and 100% Gringo-friendly. Don’t let the Spanish fool you. They speak English, they’re welcoming, and they make sure you’re taken care of. No language barrier, no stress — just ridiculously good food. Will follow this trailer anywhere!

I had the Pollotrami (yes, chicken and pastrami — and yes, it’s incredible). My husband had the Tripleta, stacked with flavor and gone in minutes. These sandwiches don’t play around.

Service? Friendly and fast. Food? Fire. The only thing missing was a walk along La Guancha to burn off the damage — but that’s how you know it was worth it.
