Seems nice till you see all the stuff they need to clean up. They’ve been here too long. If you’re a legitimate establishment I don’t need to see your inventory. Put it somewhere or hide it. They need to greet people especially newcomers once they walk in. The short lady behind the bar talks to regulars which is fine but if you want more regulars greet people as they come in. Welcome to the mint. How can I help you or I’ll be right with you. You get nothing. I’m told she’s the owner. People wonder why we still travel an hour to Austin for service. Never even heard a scuffle in the months I’ve been attending…not once. Food is great & doesn’t take long. Drinks are fantastic. Definitely go above & beyond for its customers & clients. Deserves expansion & a franchise, although it will still be hard to have that original Mint of Killeen aura that is The Mint we know and love today! Read moreThis is exactly what I needed. I have been absolutely floored by the experience the Mint provides on a Monday afternoon. The staff is courteous, friendly and funny. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. And ridiculously affordable. The coffee they are brewing is extremely aromatic and robust. The music is soothing, not to loud, but definitely sets the atmosphere. And all these elements combine to create a rich, sultry, soothing vibe that contrasts sharply to what would be expected on a hum drum boring Monday.
