The Garlic is the best restaurant I have been too, and it was the best experience I ever had at Killington. Try to get there by 5pm/5:15pm. Please see Dave (I believe he’s the owner and maître d’) and ask him for this menu item. Dave was fantastic and the service is great, it was the menu item I chose that was the best I ever had. This is exactly what I ordered. Baked Salmon, with nothing else on it, I asked them not to add any salt or pepper, just the baked Salmon, they have this special expensive handmade oven created in Italy where the juices are kept within the oven and flow back to the baked item, the Salmon is placed on this special wood and the oven keeps all the moisture in while baking it precisely, the wood has a special aroma and the Salmon is served on the wood it was baked on, then I ordered a green salad with hot peppers, a whole garlic bulb, garlic bread comes with it, and then they gave me a plate if sliced lemons, I took the lemons and squeezed several of them on top of the Salmon, then they gave me extra extra virgin olive oil in a cup, that I placed on top of the Salmon as well, I also ordered steamed spinach, totally plain just steamed in water, I placed some of the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar on top of the steamed spinach and the salad, I dipped the bread in olive oil. So, everything was made to order, and everything was cooked plain, you then add what you want after it is cooked. It is better this way. Don’t add anything to the Salmon just lemon and a little olive oil. Ask for the Salmon to be a little more than medium so you will get the top nice and crispy. Once you place your fork in it, it will be perfect inside, nice and light and moist and lemony. This is Dave’s favorite dish, and it was mine, this dish would be considered a 5 star dish at the best...

Service was terrible. Went in for the as advertised on their website 1/2 price Tapas 5-6pm. Got there and sign outside read 2 for 1 Tapas. I thought no big deal it is almost the same thing. First sat in dining room and when we went to order Tapas we were told it was only served in the bar. No big deal there were tables so we moved. When I asked if the Tapas was 1/2 price or 2 for 1 the waitress/bartender said 2 for 1, but the lesser priced one is taken off. I said ok. I order (3) pairs of the same item, (2) pair that cost the same (one of which was dessert) and a non matching pair. To my surprise when I received the bill the 6 most expensive items were charged and the $3 cannolis were both taken off along with the next 4 cheapest items. When I questioned it I was told there was no manager and that was how it is done. Sadly I believed there was no manager, because the place was not very clean and the food not very good. Our waters were not refilled til we were done with our food and half the food we didn't eat. The ribs were tough. The tuna tartare was just cut up chunks of raw tuna. The cannolis were stale. The rest of the food was edible, but no better than a chain restaurant. I can see why they were not very busy. The only thing that was really good was the bread and roasted garlic, but when I asked for more I was told when there was room on the table. Well I never got more bread, because there was never room on the table until we were finished eating, because that was when all of our plates were cleared. I definitely would not recommend going, but if you must stick to the bread and maybe the crab cakes. Also don't fall for the fake Tapas Soecial it is a...

My Boyfriend and I have gone to dinner there a few times before and had a decent experience. Which prompted us to go again however this time was a terrible experience. My Boyfriend got the Steak and I got the chicken marsala. My dinner was fine. As we were eating my boyfriend asked me to try his steak and tell him what I thought I took a bite and I told him it tastes burnt he said I know I can't even eat it as we ordered the steak medium for the flavor quality of a medium steak and it was cooked Pittsburgh. So I told him to send it back which we waited 20 minutes for our server to come back when she did. We explained to her the problem she seemed annoyed but we just asked her to please make us one that didn't taste burnt she took the steak in the kitchen, came back told us it was going to take a very long time for the new steak which we said was fine but if she could please just put it in a box as I was finished my meal at this time. She again seemed really annoyed she went back in the kitchen and had the chef come out and he said he would rather take it off the check. We said fine at this point. Then he offered us another round of drinks and although I did not want to stay any longer my boyfriend said that's fine. Next thing we know the server with the terrible attitude came back and said our steak and drinks were taken off the check. It was like there way of asking us to leave. Probably one of the worst experiences we have ever had while out dining. We were not looking for free food and drinks. We were looking for hospitable staff and management that understands how to correct a burnt tasting steak without offending its customers. Can't give them more than one star after...

Before you read my review below , I want you to consider the difficulty to running an establishment like this 365 days at this location is quite challenging. I would normally give it a 4 stars, but considering the location and its competitors, a solid 5 stars is a must. I’ve stayed at an Airbnb near Killington a few times for skiing, and to say the restaurant scene here is “average” would be generous. Last time, while driving past this restaurant with its massive garlic statue and a line of people waiting outside, I knew I had to give it a try. The next day, I found out it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which explains the early line. If you’re not a fan of waiting, don’t worry—it’s worth it. The Garlic has a charming, cozy atmosphere, with decor that makes it feel like a rustic farmhouse in winter, creating a warm and inviting experience. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food is consistently great. While the pasta was a bit underwhelming—not bad, just not particularly exciting—the veal and steaks were cooked to perfection. The eggplant Parmesan looked surprisingly light and fresh, the wine selection was solid, and the dessert was simply delightful. Did I mentioned the garlic spread bread? This restaurant has completely changed my perception of dining in this area, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

The garlic has the right combination of mystical darkness and Italian warmth, something out of Middle Earth almost if it weren't for the pleasant aroma is drifting through. And that aroma is largely garlic! The first thing you'll see is roasted garlic with two baguettes, the idea is to squish the garlic and spread it on the bread. It's absolutely delightful. Next is the artichoke dip which I would say is a must. But depending on your hunger level, or how many friends you bring, you probably want to go for the muscles too. The dip is amazingly rich and delicious, with the right combination of bread with it. I could make a meal out of it. The next thing I would recommend is any pasta dish, I like the fra Diablo which unfortunately was not very heavy on the sauce and it was not that spicy, but I've had it other times and it was great. But the star of the show is always the rack of lamb for me. Perfectly cooked, great flavorings, great presentation with the potatoes. And so satisfying. You could easily share it with someone and you will both be satisfied with the addition of one appetizer and the delicious bread. You might not even have breakfast the next day! This last time we were too full to have dessert, but the desserts I've had in the past were great.

This is another place that was recommended by the receptionist at Killington Grand Hotel. This lady definitely knows her stuff. The food here is delicious. On a Saturday night, we showed up at 6:45pm (bad move), the wait was an hour and 15 minutes, so we went ahead and sat at one of the tables at the bar area. That was a great move. I think we had the best table here. True to its name, garlic was hanging from everywhere. The gorgeous lady at the bar moves with the speed of light and takes care of everyone. She is amazing, funny and friendly. First she brought hot bread and roasted garlic. Yummmmm. Then we ordered garlic mussels. Then out food showed up 😳. Be prepared for a lot of food. I was not prepared at all. Try the veal and the rack of lamb, absolutely delicious.
