I wanted Italian food. I wanted to veal cutlet, parmesan sub or hero depending on what part of the country you're from so I looked around and I found this place Angelo's and I didn't even know it was there driven past it, about 500 times so I called them up. I asked her. If they have a bill parmesan sub, they said. Yes, I look at that menu. It says $7 now I use Google for everything so with the menus on Google I consider it. That's the price. So I ordered 2 of them. I ordered some mushrooms fried mushrooms and I ordered some garlic bread and I gotta pick it up and she hands me the bill and I'm like wait a second this is way off. You know, 2 hero should cost. 14, maybe $15 the bread was. I think $3 and you know God knows how much the mushrooms cost that really didn't look and she said, I don't know that the view is $11 or 1099 or whatever. I really was. I don't like well, that's not what your menu says, and she goes well. Yeah, we don't even have that on our menu and so I pull up my phone and I shower to win call. Oh well, that's like 10 years old, 15 years old. I'm like then. You should have taken it off rough. I don't like the fact that you have a menu up there with prices. And those prices are like $4 off on everything. Yeah, if you tell me how much it is to begin with, I can make a decision if I want to buy 2 or 1. I live alone I was putting the other one in the fridge. For you know, a day or 2 later, so I ended up paying for it. Whatever I get home, I started eating the sub, it's phenomenal. It's really good, it's definitely worth the price they charge for it, but that's neither here nor there, then I go to the mushrooms and the mushrooms have no taste whatsoever and they give you a dipping sauce, that's it's bland. So I started using the tomato sauce to put it in there, even that is bland so that was a waste and then I go take a bite of the garlic bread and basically it's buttered toasted bread. Maybe they sprinkled a little bit of garlic powder on it there's no garlic on it at all, doesn't smell like garlic doesn't taste like garlic. So all in all I'm disappointed. The veil Poma hero was very good. I will probably go buy it again but I will never buy any of the other stuff. If anybody reads a few of my stuff you know that I talk And then the text comes out so sometimes it comes out a little messed up and for that,...
Read moreIn response to the manager of this Italian restaurant, I never stated that your sauce came from any can. I did state you serve a ragu style sauce. Being that you run an Italian eatery, I would expect that you'd know what a ragu is, but I'll tell you. It's a meat based heavily seasoned tomato sauce. I hope this helped!
Traveling through Georgia on our way back to Florida from N.Y. If you're from N.Y., you pretty much know good Italian from bad and the different styles of sauces. We went into this particular eatery from the Google reviews (4.6 out of 5) and when we got there, it had a full dining room with a 15 minute wait for a table. I took this as a good sign. I was suspect after reviewing the menu, prices were kind of on the low side, chicken Parm - 14.95, Eggplant Parm 14.99 (same price as chicken?) You can get eggplant in a vegetarian dish as well. I thought that amusing, but it comes with meat sauce? What should have been the heads-up, the Veal Parm was listed at 11.99? Wait ✋ what? Why is veal 3 dollars LESS than chicken AND Eggplant? IDK? Kept it safe and ordered Chicken Parm which in itself was good. The breading was nice and the chicken was prepared correctly. However, if you like an over seasoned ragu style acidic sauce, then this is for you! Clearly not what I am used to or would ever want. It also looked as if the cook forgot to drain the pasta as there was almost a half inch of water mixed in with a similar ragu. I pushed the sauce off the chicken and didn't really eat much of the pasta as the sauce repelled from the spaghetti. Also you should be prepared to have large amounts of mushrooms in the sauce. All in all, a mess of a dinner. Service is...
Read moreTraveling on I 95 south, we decided to stop for a quick bite to eat. We did not want to wait an hour, were kinda sick of chain restaurants, and decided to go to Angelo's. Small place, clean and comfortable. We decided quickly, so we immediately ordered. My husband got the House Special Calzone with a sweet tea, I got a Chicken Parm Sub and a Dr Pepper. Calzone was full with everything, but the ground beef was flavorless. Overall he liked the calzone. The Sweet tea was not good. Tasted old. My Chicken Parm sub was great. Fresh tasting sub roll!! While we were eating there was a steady stream of to go orders too. Many reviews on here say the sauce is flavorless. I think many of us are used to the heavily seasoned and alot of garlic Marinara sauces. Their sauce reminded me of a fresh tomato sauce that I would have tasted years ago growing up in New England! Yeah,a little bit more garlic never hurt anyone, but overall I...
