I usually stop here to grab a coffee before catching the bus. Even though it's on their menu and a banner outside they apparently don't have drip anymore. Last 3 times I stopped by and they said they don't have any. Usually I chalk it up to unlucky me but this time I ask for a drip coffee, girl said espresso? And I said no a drip then started to make what I assumed was a pour over. Paid and went to the restroom. Came back to find an espresso shot in a 12 oz cup. She said I asked for espresso . When I clearly didn't. Instead of trying to fix it she said that's what you ordered, and apparently only the owner knows how to make drip.No offer to refund or remake order. Said eff it and left. It was only 4$ but I can't stand not any sympathy to the customer to what I assume was just an honest mistake. I don't like leaving bad reviews and if I was just told again we don't have drip I would let it be. Please be better or change your signage.
Edit: thanks for the response, if it was an Americano that was present when I got back I would've lived with it. The barista literally made a shot of espresso in a cup. I picked up the cup and thought was empty and had to take the lid off to see just an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted to like this coffee shop since it's so conveniently located and offers a 10% discount to the residents. Ordered a 12 oz oat milk latte. and both my BF and I agree that there's only oat milk taste and no taste of espresso at all. I saw the barista lady pour in the espresso so I know she didn't miss it. Thinking maybe because there's only one shot, although that still shouldn't explain why there's no taste of espresso at all. We went back and asked if we could pay for another espresso shot. The barista is very nice, kind enough to provide me another shot free of charge, poured it into my cup and stirred it up for me. However with the additional shot the espresso taste is still extremely weak and also over-powered by the unpleasant sugary taste from the oat milk used. I drink oat milk latte on a daily basis from various shops, and this is one of the rare occasions when I could not even finish half the cup because I just feel like I am drinking sweet milk. This would have been a 1 or 2-star. But I appreciate that there seems to be nice food selection and also the barista was nice about it and tried to make it right so 3...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe 2 stars is more based on my personal preference rather than having anything to do with the coffee store and their products.
Evergreen isn't for me, I've tried about 4 or so drinks here over the course of two months and they're actually fairly good. It just isn't for me, I feel like something is missing but I can't put it into words.
Like most coffee stands and small cafes, you'll have in-store made product and/or re-sell. In this case, its all re-sale items.
Funny enough; the aesthetic and the design on the inside reminds me a boba shop, that isn't bad, just a fun surprise. I enjoy it.
Overall, I don't have too much further to say other then to give this place a try. It's not my thing but that doesn't mean it won't be your thing. My 2 star rating does not reflect the store's quality, it just reflects that this tiny cafe isn't the cafe for me.
Keep doing your...
