RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT: Excuse me? How dare you? I’ll be telling my friend to leave a bad review as well just for that completely unprofessional “analysis” on my personality.
As an educated woman who came from hardworking Hispanic parents with nothing and built their way to the top, I value respect first and foremost. I will NOT allow anyone to speak down to me, especially when your employee made us feel like a burden in your own shop. Shame on you and her.
I NEVER disrespected her at any moment. I was just persistent once I realized she did not want to do her job.
I believe you are referring to an argument I had with the friend I walked in with because as I said, at NO MOMENT did I EVER raise my voice or insult your employee. She did not insult me either, her behavior was just unprofessional and lazy but I see you can’t take constructive criticism.
My friend, who didn’t even speak to the woman at ALL or order food as a matter a fact (because she was THAT put off by the woman’s behavior) wanted to leave DUE to YOUR RUDE employee. We had drove half an hour to visit and support a local Hispanic cafe and before we even stepped through the door my friend said “that was rude, right? I don’t want to go in” after the gesture the blonde woman made. We had an argument because I drove half an hour as I said and I was hungry. I wanted to eat and she wanted to drive another thirty minutes to find somewhere else. It was completely unrelated to your employee. The only reason she must have heard it was because there was no one else in the cafe so if I made her uncomfortable with an argument that had absolutely nothing to do with her then I apologize. The only thing I had said that she might’ve taken offense to (although it was a general statement and not derogatory at all) was “how are you going to let other people’s behavior dictate your life?” Which is true! I did not say anything else and my argument was in English. Not to mention the fact the argument was about five minutes long then we stayed quiet doing our homework until 4 (which by the way you should change your hours online because I see I’m not the only one complaining about that.)
How you completely missed my point on how rude your employee was is beyond me. Your comment is extremely defensive which tells me enough. Is she your wife? Is that why you took my comment to heart? It’s constructive criticism. You need friendly employees to make the establishment feel friendly. Maybe she was having a rough day, but I don’t see why she needed to take it out on us. I also see I’m not the only one who has complained about her.
I’m sorry was I suppose to mop the floor and the table too? I threw away my napkins and plate of food, any crumbs left there must have been more prominent because that employee of yours was closed and cleaning during business hours. As a customer I shouldn’t be expected to clean THE FLOOR lol. Especially when I pay and leave tips despite the fact your employee might as well have rolled her eyes at me AND I noticed you automatically include 15% gratuity on top of asking for more tip!
She was the only person I saw in the store and there was only one car besides mine parked outside so I didn’t see it worth my time confronting her on her behavior as it was clear she did not want us there from the start. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Victor who was very knowledgeable and gave me a tour of the products and I was very happy with the service I received thus far. I placed my order of coffee along with a sandwich, he then brought me my coffee and very nicely asked me to try it, as he gave me the cup it felt so light and when I opened it was full of the milk foam BUT there was more foam then coffee. I kindly asked him to please add more coffee as there was more foam then coffee, he said sure, then when he brings me back the coffee he told me that he added a shot of expresso and if I wanted more he'd have to charge me. I blatantly told him that I did not ask for expresso but coffee, my cup was not even half full of coffee and for almost $4.00 that was not fair. I get a macchiato from Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks and my cup is full of coffee with fair amount of milk foam, I was very disappointed. I too ordered a black omelet sandwich, very bland and they used ice burg lettuce, for the price they should of used romaine, spinach or spring lettuce but certainly not ice burg lettuce for a $7.00 sandwich. Read moreWe used to come very often to support this business. Food was great and the daughters of the owners always treated us with kindness and respect. The older lady on the other hand is a different story. I have came less and less frequently. The last few times I have had my order taken by the older lady. Not welcoming at all, rude and left me waiting to order one time while she sat at the computer in the front without acknowledging that she would be right with me. The daughters used to let us pick the tip and we always have left a tip but the older lady picks it for you without permission. My card wasn’t even done processing when she started speaking over me to the next customer. It’s sad when even your past frequent customers are changing their reviews and the disrespectful responses I am seeing from the owners. Your cafe is usually empty, it used to be more traffic of customers. You should really reconsider your treatment towards customers before you have to close your business. I don’t wish this on them but if it happens I would blame the older lady and her poor customer service. I miss the daughters being there. I felt they were doing better with them present.
