Just passing through staying a night at a local hotel nearby. Never been here and wanted to try it. First noticed upon entry, prices for dinner are incredibly elevated as compared to lunch on the little chalk board. Greeter asks us if we'd like hibachi or table. We tell her hibachi. She talks us out of it explaining that the table will have hibachi food unless we would like to see "the show". Seems the place is not busy and perhaps they're saving a cook for when there are more people to cook for on the hibachi. So, we are escorted to a table next to a high traffic pathway close to the bar. I request a booth. She said "my boss won't let me sit fewer than 6 people at a booth." She walks off before I can respond and I'm still just standing there. I ask my wife if she's up for something else. So, we left. On the way out, I noticed this guy sitting at the end of the reception area. Not sure if that was her boss, boyfriend or coworker, but they were chatty with each other the whole time and he wasn't making himself very busy if he did work there. I asked her to tell her boss thanks for being so accommodating and we were leaving. Bottom line, service is important. Your customers should not be a nuisance to you. Read moreI’ve never had such a bad experience at any other restaurant I’ve been! I’m not one to complain to servers since I was one for a long time. But I never treated any of my customer the way I was treated today. One of the girls just handed me a menu and left without answering any of my questions.. Every time I wanted to order something they told me I could not order it without giving me any other choices... when I finally picked something that I was allowed to order they tell me the price is not $16 like the menu says but $20!! And that the corrent price is on an apparent new menu that was never handed to me! Then Vanessa told that I either order with the new price or don’t order anything! Tried to speak to a less rude manager that would offer me a solution but there was none at the location! I tried calling the phone number that Vanessa porvided but it only rings and then a loud tone comes on, I guess is a bad number. This is no way to treat a customer. I got there an hour before closing and the lady tells me that I need to order now because they're about to close Then, proceeds to clean with Clorox. I'm sorry but, Service sucked! We were a party of 5 and ordered around 38 rolls and a service of gyozas. To end up paying 100$ "during happy hour" for a bad service, and sushi. Very very disappointed. Food is nothing compared to what it used to be and it's sad if you want good sushi. I rec. "Take A Sushi" for a better service, environment and huge rolls. I'm not coming back. The food has improved so much over the years! Reasonable price. I never order sodas, beer or wine, just sushi. And still my check goes over $80.
