Five of us from out of town stopped to have some Italian food before we rode the Ride the Rim Crater Lake bike ride. While the food looked good, we never got to taste the main course because the server (the female manager) failed to place the main order. After we were seated at our table, we sat for nearly ten minutes before the waitress realized she had a table. It appeared she was really busy and overwhelmed and we probably should not have been sat in her area. We should have taken this as a hint that we should have asked for a different server or left. When she did come to the table, she took our drink and appetizer order and while she was friendly, she took another ten minutes before she brought the drinks and took our order. After downing the breadsticks and appetizer we sat for another 25 minutes before she came back to the table and told us she had forgotten to place the order with the kitchen after she had originally taken our order. Not thinking it would be another 30 minutes of us sitting there, we just said ok. Another 10 minutes passed and she came to the table and said that our food would be there shortly. By this time the table behind us, with a different server, who sat down after us, had their drinks, appetizers and main course during the course of all this happening. Finally, after an hour and twenty minutes of sitting there still waiting for our food to come out, I got up and asked for my check and told the other waitress at the front to get our waitress and cancel the food.
By this time it was 8:20 PM. We arrived at 6:40 and were seated at 7:00 PM. Nearly an hour and an half went by and we were still waiting for our dinner. When she came out, she could tell I was not happy, yet not once did she apologize. I asked who the manager was and she raised her hand. I was in complete disbelief that the manager who happened to be our waitress would handle the situation the way she did. She acted like I was the one in the wrong and that I should apologize. The other waitress was in shock that we had not gotten our food. She was serving the table that was behind us and they had finished their meal and were ordering dessert by the time I got up and complained.
Beyond the fact that the manager/waitress did not apologize, she still charged me for the soft drinks and one appetizer that we had gotten. I actually had to ask her for a discount on those things based on the poor, and unreasonable lack of service she provided. I ended up with 25.00 bill and left at 8:30 PM with my family not fed. A good manager would've never handled the situation that way. A good manager would have profusely apologized and asked what she could do to make it right. Unsure if the food was good, I would not ever go back to this establishment. If you choose to do so, make sure you do not get the manager as...
Read moreI give 2 stars, only because the food was delicious. The service, was awful. So, my husband called the day before to make a reservation. I know he did, because he had it on speakerphone, and they accepted it and he even spelled his name out, because they were supposedly writing it down. The next day comes, we arrive a few minutes early, and the girl at reception said they didn't have a reservation for us. We were pretty annoyed by that, because this was my birthday dinner and we made a reservation because we had plans after, but tried to be nice about it. She says she'll get a table ready and we sit down. Almost 10 minutes later, she comes back and seats ANOTHER COUPLE. Then probably another 10 minutes later, she came back, and by that point another group had come in that had a reservation WHICH THEY WERE EARLY FOR... so the girl disappeared again and comes back and seats the group, all the while, we just sat there, despite having a reservation 20 minutes prior. By this point, we were aggravated. Another 5-10 minutes later, she seats us. Again, we were trying to be as nice as possible, but I'm sure she could tell, because she was acting kind of unsettled. When our waitress came, she was acting extremely bratty and sour. It had taken a while for her to come to our table, and by the time she got there, we already knew what we wanted. She acted annoyed by this, and took our order. After, I gave her our menus and kept the drink menu. She then holds out her hand toward the drink menu, so as to tell me to give it to her, and I said I would still like to look at it. She rolled her eyes at me. I had to ask my husband to verify if that's what actually happened, and he saw it too. I will say, her attitude started to change for the better toward the end of the night. Dinner was delicious. I especially suggest the Vongole and an Old Fashioned. The Rhubarb Swirl Gelato is also lovely. I just can't ignore the awful...
Read morePLEASE READ THE NEW POST FROM 3-7-25-- 🤤1-4-22- So in all this place does not come near being Worthy of a second visit. Waiter was attentive until our meal came out completely wrong. Both my wife and I meals were nowhere near what I thought they would be. She ordered the veal it came out chicken and cold. I ordered a blue cheese burger extra well done, I specifically made sure to tell the waiter absolutely no pink. Burger came bloody. When telling the waiter he did a complete 360 from being hospitable, to being hostel. After being 100% respectful and telling him I didn't feel comfortable paying for either meal, because they were not what I wanted, he made a point not to return to my table once. If you read any reviews for me you will see I give 100% honesty, I should have went to McDonald's , at least I would have got better meal and better service. Thanks for ruining my wife's birthday. If I could this place a negative star I would.
3-7-25- Well if you read my post from above you would know I had zero ambition to ever return to this establishment. WELL after a change in ownership, this place has completely EARNED my business. Our waitress Karina's service was beyond excellent, I watched this lady wait on multiple tables attending to everyone's needs and wants. Our drinks were never empty and our Food was BEYOND EXCELLENT. The appetizer was a prawn cocktail,My wife had the Veil picotta, my daughter had the kids chicken Alfredo. I had the Cobb Salad and added a chicken breast. I want to add that the chicken breast was by far the best in this town and across the state. We left with gelato as this is a must. I absolutely will be back in the very near future. Three meals, an appetizer, 4 adult beverages two Shirley temples, a piece of marscapone cake, two gelato came up to 117.50, this is by far a great deal..
