I love all of the girls there. Most of them I don't know as well as Sandy & Orleans but I'm getting to know them. The main thing I love the most about all of these girls is their compassion ❣️. When you have rolling veins you can't help but be scared to death that they will dig around to try to catch your vein & that hurts so bad. I'm happy to say that these girls don't do that. If they can't get the IV in on the first try they go get someone else who can. I miss Linda & I hope she's happy in her new endeavor.❣️ She always had a smile on her face & uplifting words to help you face your day. Nurses are very busy, busy people but when they greet you with a smile on their face & tell you how happy they are to see you well it just puts a smile on your face and a song in your heart.,❣️ I want to thank all of you girls at Northwest - Starke for just being the wonderful people that you are. This shout-out goes to the girls up front at the registration desk also. You are all wonderful as well ❤️. You have bad days & grouchy people on a daily basis but you never show it. The cafeteria girls & the lab workers and the ER nurses. Even the Gift Shop ladies and the cleaning people. You are all wonderful. If I forgot anyone put a smile on your face & walk tall because everyone at Starke Hospital in Knox, IN are a joy to get to see even if what I am there for isn't ❣️. My only complaint is the new recliners !!! By the time I am through with my infusion even though the girls get me a pillow to set on I hurt so bad I can hardly stand let alone walk. What happened to those big plush overstuffed recliners that engulfed me and held me like my husband used to before he passed away.??? 😔. Please, please go back to the comfortable ones 🙏🏻. Show some compassion for we people who have to sit in them for hours !!! I would even love to have one just like them in my home even though I know that I will never be able to afford one I can still dream !!! Take a page out of your employee's book and show compassion for the people who dread those hard, uncomfortable chairs ❣️. It may not be important to you folks but it's as important to us as the smile on your employee's...

Worst Hospital ER I've EVER had the displeasure of visiting! SEVERAL bad experiences! Only reason I've gone so many times is because I've been so sick and had to drive myself in an emergency and it's, unfortunately, the closest to me. Went in two times with pancreatitis (1st time, I had NO idea what was wrong with me-it was my 1st attack). The middle of winter, EVERYTHING I was wearing, from head to toe (hat, coat, and gloves included), was drenched with sweat like I had been standing in the shower and you could see the sweat pouring off of me all while FREEZING my ass off, and a male nurse without having done ANYTHING but ask me "What's going on with you?", treated me like a drug seeker and nastily said "We're not going to give you any drugs here!" while I held my stomach, writhing in excruciating pain not showing ANY concern over my symptoms! Then adds "You can't be in that much pain, you aren't even crying!", Two nurses come in start stripping my clothes off, verbally expressed concerned about the amount of sweat that had soaked them while taking vitals and wrapping me in several warmed towels asked where I was hurting. By then the male nurse disappeared and I was being wheeled in for a CT scan that showed my pancreas was enlarged. I was admitted into the hospital just overnight and given pain meds & an IV for dehydration. Fed a greasy breakfast next morning & released me to drive myself home. I had to go back 2 weeks later on New Year's Eve, with pancreatitis, colitis, & an internal infection! I was so sick they couldn't care for me there & transferred me to Laporte Hospital for 4 days with no food or water! I HATE that place with a passion! If you're sick and can make it to another hospital, I would do it and save yourself...

Very difficult to rate as it depends on the staff (nurses and doctors) that are working. The first time visiting the emergency room here we were taken back quickly but the room had dirt all over the floor and there was even a dirty rubber band that someone would use with their braces on the floor. My boyfriend waited for 24 hours that visit for a transfer to another hospital. The next visit was wonderful staff was friendly room was very clean and we were in quickly and he was treated and released. This last time the nurses have been helpful and even referred us to a better hospital for a specialist. However the doctor came in, very rudely, and asked what we wanted to have done. Last time i checked you are the doctor and make that decision. After that he walked out. That is completely ridiculous no doctor should act that way and not even try to figure out what was wrong.
