Nothing spectacular but it wasn't bad either. All in all a very generic experience. Not something I would seek out but wouldn't say no to either. Texas Roadhouse seems to be the better steakhouse experience when put side-by-side with Outback.
The bread was excellent. The bloomin' onion was slightly salty. The steak was of fair quality but cooked correctly to temperature. The lobster was clearly overcooked and resembled pencil erasers. The ribs were good but had way, way too much barbeque sauce. The loaded baked potatoes were very good as was the fresh broccoli.
December/ New Years Eve 2023
This visit was even less impressive. This will be our last visit.
The Mac & Cheese bites were good but uninspired. The noodles were overcooked before the breading and frying process and were generally unappealing. Maybe using something other than a simple elbow noodle likely makes this a little better.
The NY Strip was gummy, cool to the touch yet somehow cooked. For something that supposedly saw high heat to cook, there was no sear to form the necessary crust on the meat to seal everything in. For this cut, there was far more fat on the steak than should have ever been allowed. Overall, a very poor example of a steak from a place claiming to be a steakhouse.
The chicken breast was cooked well but someone somewhere was extremely heavy handed with the salt. This took what should have been very good to something very unpleasant.
For the amount of money we spent here tonight, this was not a good value or an experience worth having ever again.
Some restaurant chains may better serve their guests and the industry overall by closing their doors forever. They likely wouldn't be missed. Outback fits...
Read moreI ordered a rare steak and it came out medium to medium well, I told my waitress and in about 10 minutes they brought out what was probably the best cooked steak I've ever had at a restaurant as well as more fries so great service and food. The only thing to keep in mind is their servings are more on the smaller side like if you order a 8 oz stake it's about a 6 oz other places and of course that doesn't mean it's not actually 8 oz just not what I was expecting, also if you order the stake and shrimp keep in mind it only comes with four small pieces of shrimp not jumbo shrimp normal small shrimp which of course is probably a corporate thing and is there regulated serving size so obviously not their fault and was not factored into my 5 star review. Now on service i will say, I have been there three times, and every time I have had great service. I've been checked on through out my meal and my drinks stay full which is probably the most important thing to me. The main reason this restaurants is incredible is because they fry everything in beef tallow at this location which is far better for your health than overly processed sead oils and you still feel great after eating fried food from this location! If the blooming onion from Texas roadhouse turns your stomach upside down, I would try the one from here. one bite from the Texas roadhouse one and i'll be burping it up all night, but I ate pretty much what was an entire blooming onion from Outback and felt fine, no stomach problems! The magic is...
Read moreTerrible location. We love outback, and go often. We've been to this location many times, and for a while even when they screwed up our steaks, or whatever, they would at least compensate us and make up for the problem. That kept is coming back. However in December/January-ish we all got food poisoning from eating here- which I could not believe! The only one who didn't get sick was my 3 year old who only ate bread. We gave it several months and figured we'd try again...horrible!!! Granted, no food poisoning, but my kids steaks were way overdone. My New South Wales sangria was terrible; clearly someone did not make the batch correctly. The garlic butter I ordered to go ontop of my steak didn't come out with it, so I waited and by the time I got it my steak was cold. Finally we ordered a milkshake, as we have many, many times before-and it came in a kids cup, maybe a quarter of the way full, no whipped cream or chocolate shavings as it's is advertised. On top of that, it was SOUR!! We asked for a manger and the woman who came was incredibly condescending and rude, therefore I didn't even bother to tell her how I really felt about the meal or the other problems we had. She insisted that they always bring the milkshakes out that way for kids-except not once had that ever happened-they brought a new one and it was still incredibly sour with hardly any whipped cream. I'm very disappointed and this was the last straw. I recommend finding another...
