The Donut Palace — Restaurant in Knoxville

Great donut shop! Every donut shop nowadays charges $17 for a dozen. Is it worth it? No, but that's only true to those of us who can remember $5 dozens. At least the people inside here are nice. You won't find another donut shop in the area with great service combined with good tasting donuts.

Update: 2025 I stopped by Donut Palace this morning like I’ve done many times before, but I left feeling a little disappointed. The prices have definitely gone up, which I get—everything is more expensive these days—but the problem is that the quality seems to have gone down at the same time.

The donuts used to be super fresh and soft, but today they felt a bit stale and not as flavorful. Even the glaze seemed thinner than usual. I’m not saying they were terrible, just not up to the standard I’ve come to expect from this place.

The staff was still friendly and quick, which I appreciated, and I really do want to keep supporting a local business. I just hope they can get back to the quality that made them stand out in the first place. I’ll probably give them another shot, but for now, it’s not quite the same Donut Palace I used...

Let me start by saying I don't make "bad" reviews often buy today I was annoyed by the situation. So i have been wanting to try this place for awhile but they they don't stay open very long on a daily basis so I never had a chance to try them until today. I was able to get there before they closed only to find out they were closed early. I called the store and the man who answered informed me that when they run out they close early. And they only had glazed ones so they closed early (which i wpuld of bought if given the chance) It's really hard to go here if you never know if they are actually open or not. And the hours online are misleading as it doesn't state they close early if they run out. I ran over there on my lunch break to get some doughnuts and wasted my 30 min lunch break and I don't have time to go somewhere else now. I think it would be great if they would either make extra doughnuts if they are busy that day or if they cpuld update the online hours to inform people when they close early. Im upset I wanted to try them out but I think after this experience I'll just find somewhere else I know is...

The most perfect doughnut I've had in my life!! The doughnuts were super fresh even though I went in the afternoon (the nice lady working there said she made another batch at noon). The doughnuts had a perfectly balanced flavor, not too sweet but definitely not bland and super thick and fluffy while still dense 🤤 The doughnuts are cheaper than popular chains even though they're much bigger and the filled ones have delicious custards and jams. The prices are another great reason to come here over competitors, although I would be willing to pay twice the price for this quality of doughnut. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying these out if you...
