Gordo's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Kokomo

I may be biased because I used to work there, but even now, years later, the food is still amazing! I plan visits home around Gordo's being opened so I can try old favorites, and new limited options.

The Birria tacos were amazing! New item and I hope they're a long lasting item because I was in heaven the entire time I was eating them. I also got a long standing favorite of mine, fish taco American style, and between that and the two tacos that came with the birria order, I was very full.

I even had a birria taco leftover and it was still crispy hours later.

Ordered 2 of the large burritos with chicken & added jalapeno. Plus 2 orders of chips and queso. The burrito was huge. Supposed to be 2 lbs. Go to eat it. No jalapeno on either of our burritos. Not very much chicken either. All refried beans. I don't mind a little extra beans but when a pound & a half are beans & there aren't hardly any of the other ingredients, it's just ridiculous!! If I wanted a bean burrito, I would've ordered one! A total rip off for a $10.50 burrito. I don't care if the rest of the food there is great. I won't be back! Total rip off....

I went there last week and there were 3 issues that caused us just to leave without ordering. Their dining room wasn't open (while everyone else in Kokomo is). They were all out of carnitas, and so when I asked for a menu at the window because I needed to figure out what else to order, the girl sounded confused and then told us they didn't have menus. I'm thinking we'll what DO you have then? We just left. I used to love this place but seems to have gone down...
