I came here to try and avoid chains and support a local business, but I was very disappointed. The drinks were okay, not great but definitely not bad and actually reasonably priced as far as coffee shops go nowadays.
The main reason my review is low is due to the food. I ordered Kolaches expecting what they show on their online menu which is a great looking large homemade-looking kolache (which I would consider a southern delicacy) and you would probably share my disappointment when what I got was HEB frozen kolaches that they had clearly just microwaved in the back. Im not so sure of this one, but it tasted like the Sausage and Cheese Croissant Sandwich my partner had was Jimmy Dean. Which is surprising, as they display and sell their own croissants.
I am frustrated with the misrepresentation of the food online and the lack of transparency within the shop. I spent $22 on two drinks and some breakfast which was all the frozen food that I tried to avoid eating by going to a local restaurant and I feel like I got ripped off. Will not be trying this place again, I suggest you either tell people that you’re selling them microwaved frozen food or take it off...
Read moreAbsolutely, loved the staff. Walked in & promptly greeted. They listened to me & my friends silly stories as we were desperate need of coffee (sleep deprived moms). We had a lot of questions & they were able to answer them. I learned the difference between Vanilla Latte vs. French Vanilla Latte. I've been to other coffee shops & they don't have time to explain to me the drinks. Impressed with customer service, the joy of the atmosphere, the variety of options available... it's all impressive!! The kolache are definitely worth the price. I was nervous about the pricing on it, but once I got it I completely understood price. I'd of had to of ordered 2 or 3 kolache's to of gotten the same. You can goes inside or take the magnificent Drive-thru. I did not do the drive through, but from what I could tell it was a quick & smooth process! I highly recommend you trying out this jewel of a business. I definitely will support this local soon to be hot...
Read morePerfectly average coffee shop. It's what you'd probably expect for an independent coffee shop in Kyle.
Coffee was good and reasonably priced. Service had an "I'm bored" vibe. They didn't seem all that happy to serve me but weren't rude. The interior was had a half-done feel. Lots of unfinished, partially used space visible to customers. Inventory and other stuff laying around the counters. A messy under-sink area in full view with a pipe that made a constant dripping sound. It was really warm. It was a hot day and either the A/C wasn't working or they were trying to save on electricity. In any case, it was uncomfortable. I wanted to stay and enjoy my coffee, but left because it was too warm.
If they invested a little more into the interior and service, I think this could be a nice, community-oriented coffee shop....
