Not great. Went here for the first time and I was disenchanted, to say the least. Long wait to get in (not a big deal), and the area they sat us in had a dj that night, so it was super loud (loud enough that my dinner companion could not hear me even though I was literally screaming. Also not a huge deal, but worth mentioning as we watch the rating for this place plummet lower).
The server took our order for drinks, then disappeared. For like 30 minutes. I finally waved someone down and placed my drink order, again. They asked me where my server was, to which I said "I have no idea" because I genuinely didn't. Then THAT person disappeared. Still no drinks.
During this time we were eating the chips and salsa that were given to us upon being seated, and it was.....bland AF. No flavor, obviously someone forgot to salt this batch. I added my own, although I should have just stayed home if I was going to prep my own food.
Several moments later the food and drinks arrived, although the food looked like it was sitting for awhile. I got a fajita plate. It came with only 2 tortillas. Fine, I asked for 2 more because....? Server disappears, again for like another 30 minutes.
By this time I'm thoroughly annoyed because my food is completely cold and completely disappointing. My fajita plate had no cheese....actually it did...a single shred, which looks like it fell there by accident. The charro beans were completely bland and unsalted, so I had to add my own, again. The fajita filling was completely over-salted. Why is there so much inconsistency here?? What is going on in that kitchen??
Finally a different server comes with the second batch of drinks I ordered a million years ago with the other peorson who disappeared. No one knows what's going on, including me. The table next to us takes the drinks as it appears they've been waiting forever and a day too. I guess the forgotten and forlorn gotta stick together.
My extra tortillas finally come. They're flour. I ordered corn. We've been here a good hour and a half....possibly 2. I ask the waitress to take back the tortillas as my already terrible food is completely cold and I'm just done with this place. She asks if I want her to just get corn tortillas, to which I say a very emphatic "NO!", as I'm afraid I'll never see her again and likely never get out of this place.
In an interesting turn of events, she came back right away with the check at lightening speed. $80....for the worst meal I've ever had, and a headache from screaming. It hurt me to add a $10 tip (on $70), but I'm not a total jerk....
Read moreWas very disappointed in the service we received. Upon first arriving we were greeted and told to sit anywhere we like. After taking our drink orders and asking if we needed more time to decide, our waiter had disappeared. 15 minutes we waited before my bf Eddie went looking for him. When he found him the waiter got the menus out and proceeded to try and seat him... Eddie said we have been waiting for him for 15 minutes in front of the manager. The waiter asked if he had been helped before and was waiting. He completely forgot about our table!! The manager told the waiter to finish the other customer's order before helping us and seemed to have no regard for our displeasure. The waiter then turned awkwardly toward another waitress to ask for her help, who came and took our order. SHE was the ONLY good thing about this place.
The food was mediocre. Even though they have homemade tortillas, the chips were clearly out of a package, the salsa was all black pepper with not much other flavor. My michelada had no tomato/clamato flavor and was basically orange colored Dos Equis with a bunch of salt and red pepper flakes. The barbacoa taco was good, so was the tripitas. But the bean and chicharron taco had a strange sweetness to it. Eddie got the machacado y huevo plate, and the egg was undercooked.
Needless to say, we'd rather spend less money and get better service...
Read moreUse to come here two or three times a week. We loved this place. Never had a problem sitting down and enjoying a good meal with company. Last couple of times we’ve been there, they will not sit you down unless the whole party is there. Went yesterday and only a few tables were taken, No one in the back where we were going to have to sit anyways with 8 of us. Myself, my wife, my mom and dad walked in and were going to wait on my daughter and my daughter in law with their two kids. We were told that we had to have at least half of us there to sit us down. Well I guess they couldn’t count cause half of 8 is 4. We weren’t going to wait the 20 minutes or so that it was going to take my grandkids and daughters to get there. They could have sat us down so we could drink coffee and visit with my parents while waiting. I’m just baffled why such a strict rule when the place was more than half empty. We use to walk in and just sit and enjoy ourselves. We went elsewhere down the road and were sat down immediately. As a business owner myself, I understand how you do business is important and understand your strict sitting rules when busy. But when you have 12 people eating in your restaurant and can’t accommodate to sit a few more down, “come on” you can do...
