Very good restaurant with good service! I was super disappointed after ordering a platter with 2 chalupas and a chicken enchilada. 1. Never had chicken enchiladas with chili cheese sauce, didn’t think to mention it and it didn’t specify the chili cheese sauce on the menu. 2. The hot sauce is REALLY REALLY spicy!!!!!!!!!!! 3. The restaurant and I had different versions of a chalupa. I was brought what I have always considered a tostada. Also, I guess I didn’t read the menu right because I was under the impression they both had meat and 1 had guacamole and the other had queso. They were brought with no meat, instead I got 2 small flat crispie corn tortillas with lettuce, tomatoes and then 1 with queso the other a teaspoon of guacamole. The waitress was super sweet when she saw my disappointment, she brought me out some meat and some AMAZING green sauce. Unfortunately I don’t like the chili queso ever, so. I just didn’t eat the enchilada (she most likely would have replaced it but I just let it go). I think there should be something that defines exactly what they are serving when it differs from the norm! I googled chalupa and the pic that pulled up was exactly what I was expecting. I’m attaching a picture of what I got that was called a chalupa.

The food used to be great here. Service and cleanliness too. Today it was horrible, and I do not use that word lightly. Picture attached. To start, when we walked in, unless you wanted to sit on the patio in 27 degree weather, there was one table cleaned. The other tables stayed dirty til our food arrived. Imagine sitting next to old food your entire meal. We never once recieved a visit back from our server until after our food was gone and our drinks were empty. She didn't drop off our food so she had no idea how the quality was, and let me tell you, it was mediocre at best. My food came out Luke warm, and my room mates food came out way worse. His potatoes had no seasoning. The country fried steak was all gristle. The eggs had no seasoning. We never recieved a drink refill, so when she FINALLY made it out of her super important conversation with the other server 20 feet away from us ( pic attached) We asked for teas to go. All in all this restaurant has gone so far downhill from where it was, it needs a new zipcode.

This is our third visit back … We are not locals but when we come to Kyle we have eaten here each time. We have always had a positive experience. We have been greeted at the door and had the option to sit inside or out on the covered patio. Our waitress this time was Isis. She was helpful, with a happy heart. She checked on us often, to see if we needed anything. The food once again was delivered while still warm, large portions, delicious and I feel homemade. (We have ordered something different each time and never disappointed) I had the grilled chicken with fresh grilled onion, tomatoes, jalapeños covered in Monterey Jack cheese.m… with broccoli and rice. (See pic) My mom enjoyed the breaded chili relleno with shredded chicken, rice and beans and some extra guacamole. My husband had a taco, an enchilada, and a chalupa with rice and beans. It was hard to eat it all especially after the wonderful chips and salsa served. You know it is good when we plan on going again!

Not great. Went here for the first time and I was disenchanted, to say the least. Long wait to get in (not a big deal), and the area they sat us in had a dj that night, so it was super loud (loud enough that my dinner companion could not hear me even though I was literally screaming. Also not a huge deal, but worth mentioning as we watch the rating for this place plummet lower).

The server took our order for drinks, then disappeared. For like 30 minutes. I finally waved someone down and placed my drink order, again. They asked me where my server was, to which I said "I have no idea" because I genuinely didn't. Then THAT person disappeared. Still no drinks.

During this time we were eating the chips and salsa that were given to us upon being seated, and it was.....bland AF. No flavor, obviously someone forgot to salt this batch. I added my own, although I should have just stayed home if I was going to prep my own food.

Several moments later the food and drinks arrived, although the food looked like it was sitting for awhile. I got a fajita plate. It came with only 2 tortillas. Fine, I asked for 2 more because....? Server disappears, again for like another 30 minutes.

By this time I'm thoroughly annoyed because my food is completely cold and completely disappointing. My fajita plate had no cheese....actually it did...a single shred, which looks like it fell there by accident. The charro beans were completely bland and unsalted, so I had to add my own, again. The fajita filling was completely over-salted. Why is there so much inconsistency here?? What is going on in that kitchen??

Finally a different server comes with the second batch of drinks I ordered a million years ago with the other peorson who disappeared. No one knows what's going on, including me. The table next to us takes the drinks as it appears they've been waiting forever and a day too. I guess the forgotten and forlorn gotta stick together.

My extra tortillas finally come. They're flour. I ordered corn. We've been here a good hour and a half....possibly 2. I ask the waitress to take back the tortillas as my already terrible food is completely cold and I'm just done with this place. She asks if I want her to just get corn tortillas, to which I say a very emphatic "NO!", as I'm afraid I'll never see her again and likely never get out of this place.

In an interesting turn of events, she came back right away with the check at lightening speed. $80....for the worst meal I've ever had, and a headache from screaming. It hurt me to add a $10 tip (on $70), but I'm not a total jerk....

Was very disappointed in the service we received. Upon first arriving we were greeted and told to sit anywhere we like. After taking our drink orders and asking if we needed more time to decide, our waiter had disappeared. 15 minutes we waited before my bf Eddie went looking for him. When he found him the waiter got the menus out and proceeded to try and seat him... Eddie said we have been waiting for him for 15 minutes in front of the manager. The waiter asked if he had been helped before and was waiting. He completely forgot about our table!! The manager told the waiter to finish the other customer's order before helping us and seemed to have no regard for our displeasure. The waiter then turned awkwardly toward another waitress to ask for her help, who came and took our order. SHE was the ONLY good thing about this place.

The food was mediocre. Even though they have homemade tortillas, the chips were clearly out of a package, the salsa was all black pepper with not much other flavor. My michelada had no tomato/clamato flavor and was basically orange colored Dos Equis with a bunch of salt and red pepper flakes. The barbacoa taco was good, so was the tripitas. But the bean and chicharron taco had a strange sweetness to it. Eddie got the machacado y huevo plate, and the egg was undercooked.

Needless to say, we'd rather spend less money and get better service...

Use to come here two or three times a week. We loved this place. Never had a problem sitting down and enjoying a good meal with company. Last couple of times we’ve been there, they will not sit you down unless the whole party is there. Went yesterday and only a few tables were taken, No one in the back where we were going to have to sit anyways with 8 of us. Myself, my wife, my mom and dad walked in and were going to wait on my daughter and my daughter in law with their two kids. We were told that we had to have at least half of us there to sit us down. Well I guess they couldn’t count cause half of 8 is 4. We weren’t going to wait the 20 minutes or so that it was going to take my grandkids and daughters to get there. They could have sat us down so we could drink coffee and visit with my parents while waiting. I’m just baffled why such a strict rule when the place was more than half empty. We use to walk in and just sit and enjoy ourselves. We went elsewhere down the road and were sat down immediately. As a business owner myself, I understand how you do business is important and understand your strict sitting rules when busy. But when you have 12 people eating in your restaurant and can’t accommodate to sit a few more down, “come on” you can do...
