By far the worst customer service I have ever received at an establishment. I would give this place a 0 if possible because of how disrespectful and rude the employees were. Especially because the most disrespectful one was (what looked like) a shift lead or something. As a customer service worker I make a conscious effort to make my ordering as respectful as possible but the worker taking my order immediately started with a very rude greeting manner and continuously cut me off as I would say my order with a rude and abrupt “ok what else” without leaving room for me to finish. When I got to the window I was ignored for about it 5 minutes waiting for my order and then the person in a beige shirt ( dark hair, plus size woman) who took my order sent her employee to cash me out in which I did not receive my drink. I gave them my payment and waited about another 5 minutes for an horchata in which the person in the beige shirt took my drink to the back and suspiciously dropped it on the counter, leaving me to wait 3 minutes for a drink that sat on a counter. When she handed it to me she was wearing her food handling gloves and smeared the cup full of beans and it looked extremely disgusting. I was so disgusted I did not bother eating my order and threw it to the garbage. If you care about cleanliness and food quality, do not come here. I ordered a 4-piece chicken breast and wings combo and was informed by your employee, Joel, that it would be prepared shortly. After waiting for an hour and a half, Joel informed me that they were out of chicken breasts. I was surprised as I had already been waiting for quite some time. Joel then offered me a plate of chicken thighs as a replacement, promising a refund and a free meal voucher. Upon finishing my meal, I approached Joel to request the refund. However, he informed me that the system was down and that I could return another day to receive the refund. Today, September 10, 2024, I returned to the restaurant to follow up on the refund. Joel asked his colleague, Marco, to assist me. Marco took my name and phone number and stated that someone would contact me to ask a few questions before processing the refund. I explained that I had traveled a significant distance to the restaurant and that Joel had assured me the refund would be issued immediately. Everything that I ordered was hot and fresh. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and seasoned amazingly (no it doesn't look like KFC and it isn't supposed to)! And you have to try the empanadas, warm, crispy and they just simply tasted amazing!
I will definitely be coming back!
*To those hand-wringing low life' that would throw a bad review up on a newly opened restaurant, I hope you are equally as fast to throw out cudos as you are to whine. I will not hesitate to give someplace a bad review, but, I am also smart enough to know to expect long waits, frustrated staff, and unexpected issues if I choose to visit a new restaurant over prime meal times during their first few weeks of opening. Obviously, those throwing out these 1-star reviews are not. These ratings can make a break a restaurant early as they are trying to get systems working, team trained, supplies ordered. If you truly have a gripe or concern, reach out to the restaurant, talk to the manager instead bashing a new place from afar, like a coward. If the place is still struggling after being open for a few weeks and the crowds have died down, fine, that is deserving of a bad review.
Heaven forbid you ever have someone watching over your shoulders and sprinting to smear you all over the Internet on your first few weeks at a new job.
