I went to the bakery because people said it was delicious. I have to say I'm disappointed, and it's not worth it. Anyone who doesn't know all the sweets or breads doesn't know what they're buying. The employees don't know anything about the fillings; they just serve flavors, and they told me they didn't know what it was.
I bought few of everything. The only thing that wasn't bad was the chocolate concha. The vanilla or strawberry conchas tastes like nothing. No flavor. Chocolate cake is not bad but not great.
The croissants aren't croissants; they just taste like Mexican bread. That's not an authentic croissant. The Heb ones taste good compared to these. They're dry and only taste like flour.
My biggest concern is that they don't use gloves when handling food. While I was waiting, an employee arrived and started grabbing the cakes with his bare hands, then started grabbing the trays and then the cakes again without washing his hands.
I understand that some food can be handled without gloves as long as you wash your hands constantly, but it really disgusted me. After seeing that, I decided not to order food.
I’m a no return...
Read moreMy sisters and I have been wanting to try this place since it opened in Kyle. Today we arrived at 11:30 trying to beat the church crowd, when we arrived we were seated right away but it took the waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us to take a drink order! Right off the bat I knew it would be bad service based on her attitude and sour face. But we stayed anyway and 20 minutes later she came back to take our order, again with absolutely no customer service skills what so ever! After almost an hour from start to finish we got up and left after my sister asked for more ice, lemons and napkins for the second time. She acted as if she asked for a blood transfusion! Never got our food! I threw $5 on the table and said out loud to the hostess how horrible the service was and walked out! Too bad for this place I’ve lived in Kyle my whole life and I will tell anyone that will listen NOT to go to this place. There are way too many places in Kyle with great food and way better service! BUT the bakery service was amazing the day prior when we stopped for...
Read moreI know it’s overwhelming for small businesses to start off especially around areas where people are use to chains. I personally enjoyed their food and bakery. It’s not mind blowing, but it’s not a 1 star either. People have personal problems when they start rating 1’s. Anyway… my experience went fairly well.
I Ended up getting a few marranitos(pig shaped bread), and some random breads for my little ones. The bread was great, might not satisfy the palate of a person that consumes chain foods and sugary bread with extra honey topped with boba, but it holds up well in my opinion.
Lastly, I test every Mexican restaurant by their enchiladas, so I gave those a try… and I gotta say… it was pretty damn good. It was Spicy, which might turn off a few folks but I lovvvveee that.
For the business owners… Have your front facing employee be more inviting, a little smile goes a long way. Other than that, keep up the great work and I look forward to the...
