After living in Kyle for over 20 years, I was thankful to see Willies come in. This was not the first time I had ordered from Willies. The evening was wet, rainy and figured I would just pick up dinner. I pulled up the app, ordered a Shrimp Dinner and a Taco Dinner. I pull in 25 minutes later when they said it would be ready. The parking lot is small. They have a Golf Cart to pick you up back and forth from Costco, because good luck finding parking. My order was immediately ready. The young lady repeated my order and I decided to believe them at face value my order was right. That was a mistake. There were 3 people working the To Go station. I was not sure if the girl reading my order back to me was completely paying attention or not, as the male who was working was talking over me and talking to her.
I get home and I am missing my tater tots. It was only $.99 extra; but, if you are going to make my pay extra for something, can you at least make sure it is in the bag? The hush puppies were not very large at all. They had a weird flavor to them. The chips and queso were good. I am thankful they put the queso in a separate container. My kid had ordered tater tots, but my tots were missing. The tacos were good. I was impressed the tortillas were homemade. My kid's tater tots and the shrimp were lukewarm.
If I am going to pay over $60 for a meal for two, I expect a tad bit better service and attention to detail. The meal was half way descent. Service could have been a tad bit better. I expected way more from this place. This is not the same level of experience I have come to expect when I go to Willies. Come on...

From the moment we sat down, his warm smile and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a fantastic meal. Carlos was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, striking that perfect balance that makes you feel cared for. He greeted us promptly, made great recommendations from the menu (his suggestion of the smoked brisket tacos was spot-on!), and ensured our drinks were refilled before we even had to ask. What really stood out was his knowledge of the menu and his ability to answer our questions with confidence, whether it was about the specials or pairing suggestions for the craft beers. He even took the time to chat with us about the local area, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. His energy was contagious, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. The food came out quickly, and Carlos checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect without interrupting our conversation. When a small mix-up happened with one of our orders, he handled it with such grace and speed that it barely registered as an issue. His professionalism and charm turned what could’ve been a hiccup into a moment that showcased his dedication to great service. Read moreWent Sunday for the first time. Horrible experience ever! Food was ok not great. But my main thing is i added mayo to my burger which was nit given. Ok simple went back to the front where i was told i NEEDED TO ASK MY SERVER. Ok, i did so she said ok but never was brought. So i as well asked for more chips and again😭 she never brought that! ‼️🚨 but here is where i cant, WILLIES I HOPE YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE NOT THIEFS!! My daughter left my Stanley there. And by the time we got home we noticed! And called right away. 😡 and no stanley was reported! I called next day and asked if they can see footage to make sure and see who took it. Was told ok and no one called back! A cup my kid saved for was gone like that😭 ‼️ so beware cause it can be the workers themselves. And OWNER PLEASE DONT SAY REACH OUT! As my info was taken and you can do so as well! ‼️UPDATE ‼️ I forgot to place the update. Anyways i was told to email to make it right! Its a shame what happened! The manager says they pulled the camera. And when they did two families were leaving the restaurant. Mine being one. Well the busser seen the cup and went outside to give to the other family still having to ask if the cup was theres. The family lied said yes!! Well if you didnt know i was told they cant do anything! The busser should of just put in the lost and found. Since she clearly didnt know whom the cup belonged to! So nothing was resolved!
