Taqueria Teotihuacan — Restaurant in La Quinta

Came here after reading others reviews and I can say this place hits the mark.

We ordered the ceviche bowl (based on previous reviews), enchiladas suizas (not a menu item) , and a cup of Jamaica juice.... all to go. The ceviche bowl was just as expected, fresh and large pieces of shrimp.... great flavor!

The enchiladas suizas was a random thing I just happen to ask if they could make and she said "sure no problem"... again this is not on the menu. The enchilada plate is a combo so it comes with the traditional rice and beans. The rice was normal red rice and the beans were actually some of the best I have had. The enchiladas were chicken and this was good shredded tender white meat... not the junk you get at the "other" run of the mill taco shops. The enchiladas were covered in a very tasty tomatillo sauce and should have come with cream but gal said that most people don't like it so they do not put it on....... I highly recommend having the cream put on or as a side which you can put on later..... the combination of the tomatillo sauce and cream makes for some great flavor.

Decor is colorful and clean... nice place to sit down and eat if you have the time. Great little hole in the wall restaurant tucked away in a strip mall so don't blink or you...

If you wish to come out for a good meal whether dining with others or alone Taqueria Teotihuacan than is where you want to be for a very enjoyable time from the moment you open the door to be greeted by someone who is very welcoming with a smile to make you feel glad that you came into spend time there. Whether dining by yourself or with a group one is given the same attention in what you need throughout the meal without being overly intrusive which made for a very enjoyable but somewhat short visit with family from out of town. We were greeted and seated as soon as as we came inside, given menus and salsa as soon as we were settled in our seats,which included me staying in my wheelchair, yes there was plenty of of room to accommodate me and 5 other people in the party, one of which arrived within a few minutes. A drink was ordered and received very quickly and knowing, what he wanted when his drink was served our orders were all taken at that time and it was a nice quiet environment in which to visit which is very important coming from a person who has trouble hearing at times with background noise. Between visiting and eating know pictures were taken of any of our meals which included 3 men who had all that they wanted when they were done eating...

The owner of the restaurant argued with me about my takeout, and he refused to give me chips and said that I must pay for them. He also said he doesn't care what other restaurants do but that in his restaurant he follows his own rules. And then there's the question about having to pay for chips when you are dining in, we only get 1 order of chips that they consider free per table. Despite the fact that there may be more than one check that's being handled in that particular table. After the first order you have to pay for chips. And despite the fact that there's more than one check at that table we all have to share. Their food is good but their service...
