Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Lacey

Last night my kids and I went to apple bees for dinner . We were getting ready to be taken to the table when the gal at the front told us “ we don’t give the children utensils unless you specifically ask for them ..” so initially she only grabbed utensils for me .. when I told her that’s never been a thing before , she aggressively grabbed two more sets ( for a family of four) and said , “fine I’ll just take whatever I have left up here ..” she then went to take us to a table initially , we got there, she said “ never mind it’s not been cleaned off yet, let’s go the other way” so we turned and followed her the other way .. where she took us to yet another dirty table . She called for the table to be cleared, while we awkwardly stood in the aisle waiting .. they cleaned the table .. HOWEVER! Left all the food the food under the table from the previous diners .. “ we will come back and clean it , just sit here “ k.. well.. they never came back .

Now, on to the food we placed our order and waited about 30 mins for the food. As we where waiting , one of the waiters brought plates to our table that I clearly knew I didn’t Order , I politely told him it wasn’t what we ordered, and then told him what we DID order . He was very rude , rolled his eyes and continued to tell me it was for this exact table . The table next to us happens to look over and goes , actually that’s our food . The waiter turned to them and placed their food , not even extending an apology for his rude behavior or attitude

Now our food .. my favorite thing to Order there is the chicken Alfredo with broccoli.. ordered as usual.. it came and immediately I was disappointed just from the presentation.. I went to take a bite , all the noodles where one giant clump dumped on the middle of the plate , all stuck together. Tried a bite , and the noodles were EXTREMELY MUSHY! My kids wouldn’t even eat them .. mushy , clumped together noodles , with ALMOST NO SAUCE. I ended up only eating the broccoli and the chicken and leaving the noodles piled on the plate .

Needless to say, we have WAY better experiences at the Applebees by the mall, both with food quality , cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff . Will not be going back to Applebees off sleeter Kinney...

My daughter and her friends went there tonight to eat. Mind you one just turned 21 not to long ago the other girls are 20. We know the laws. They wanted to have a celebration dinner for her friend who just turned 21. Now the server who was with them was rude! She asked for ALL girls ID’s and said sorry nope you can’t drink. You all need to be 21! Refused at that point. And was even rude even before that and after. Never once checked on them and kept on giving them attitude. She only took their order and that was that. Some guy brought their food and that was that. She was very attentive to other tables around and she at the time when taking the order had another table ask for drinks. NOT EVERYONE ordered drinks! She ONLY asked for the ID’s of the ones asking and that was it. And it was a group of young people too! My daughter saw them and she could tell that that group was people my daughter’s age! Make that make sense! My daughter and her friends are all Mexican…… maybe your waitress is a racist! Yes I’m throwing that out there. I’m white and my daughter is 1/2 white 1/2 Mexican. Her 2 friends are full Latinas. The server at the time had Blonde hair. Completely rude! I’m sorry but if you’re gonna treat one table the same then you better treat the same table the same! This girl didn’t even offer my daughter’s friend that she could even go to the bar and sit down and enjoy her beverage there! If she had even known that she would have gone over there and drank her drink and then came back to the table and sat down to eat. But she didn’t know. Me the mother just found out am super PISSED! As you can imagine! How can you train your staff to be like this?!? Be like all friendly to on table and not friendly to the other table. Oh and btw I will be reporting you guys to the alcohol board or whatever it’s called for the waitresses non compliance and how she didn’t check or offer to check the other tables ID’s except the ones who wanted to drink! But my daughter’s table she wanted to ID everyone. Trust me!...

We went on an evening that wasn't too busy. No long wait or anything. As I walked in to meet family members a gentleman walking out with a baby said "good luck, hope you have better service than we did" then proceeded to tell me "we waited over 1.5 hours for our food and everyones fries were cold except the baby (around 1 years old) and his fries were too hot. Service was slow, and they were not even busy. " I stayed because my family members were already seated and ordered drinks and appetizers. The service was slow. Waitress stopped by and noted everyone needed refills and then must have forgotten about them. When we did get our food, fries were in fact cold, burger was pink to where it was pretty much undercooked (asked for no pink) and refills on water was almost non existence (only got one refill of water). I asked a waitress, walking by for an extra plate of fries for my younger brother, and she said she would let our waitress know, but that never happened. By the time our waitress finally came by, I asked her, and she said she would check with the kitchen. About 15 minutes later or more, she finally brought the fries out. Across from us, we noticed a family also very unhappy. When the manager walked by the gentleman stopped him and asked nicely "can we please just get boxes and a check we've been waiting a long time and honestly just wanna get outta here" the manager apologized and brought them what they asked for and gave them a discount, which was great. However, I mentioned to our Waitress that the burger was pink, and she noted it and said, "Oh yeah, it looks under done. I'll let the kitchen know," and nothing came about it. The burger was cut in half, so more than half that burger got wasted, and we just paid and left. It was too expensive for the slow service and bad food. Left a little note about the cold fries, empty ketchup, and pink burger with a ☹️ face. Won't be going back for...
