Since when did MCD's start "discriminating" against Uber drivers in the drive thru?
I hadn't eaten all day, so when I went to pick up an Uber eats order at this location, I asked to order 2 breakfast burritos for myself as well from the order screen in drive thru.
I was refused service by "Megan" because I was an Uber driver? I was told it was "Corporate" policy not to serve drivers in drive thru? (10:33pm). I questioned her as to why? "...Because it would take time out of delivery?" (I Waited in line 25 minutes before getting to window.).
At the order box I pointed out that people often place separate orders in drive thru. I pointed out that I expected anytime an order was placed, it should be expected it would be ready at the window? ( It was ""2"" breakfast burritos ) I did not see the point of refusal unless she was just discriminating against me for being a driver?..
What was her point when I pointed out the obvious? She again told me it was policy, some may take my order but weren't supposed to. (Not only have I always ordered at other McDonalds, I've even been offered a free cup of coffee a couple of times).
She argued her point over and over it was policy not discrimination. Even with the obvious. It didn't end there, she said: "Are you going to pick up your order? ...or continue to argue with me? ... because I didn't have to pick it up..."
Twenty-Five minutes later, at the window, I asked for the corporate number or the owners. They were not happy with me. At the window I expressed my opinion again to a dark haired woman and was told the same. Meagan and the dark haired woman asked me to pull around and wait. A few minutes later the dark haired lady brought out a business card and wanted to re-asure me it was policy not discrimination.
(noun) DISCRIMINATION the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different -- ""categories of people"" -- or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.) ( Uber driver?)
From there it got worse. I drove 4 miles to deliver. The customer pointed out the order was too large and she did not order drinks. While there, I called the store and brought it to their attention while on delivery with customer. I had told the customer about my circumstance and interaction with Megan moments before. I offered to take it back and get the right order free of charge.
While over Bluetooth, the customer said to Megan over the phone, ... Please see that Willis gets something to eat, he is hungry and Megan said sure.
(( 8 miles later, I returned the wrong order and was met at the side door. (11:45 pm, One hour and 15 minutes later from the time I arrived to pick up...)). I exchanged 1 order for the other. I asked Megan what she was going to do with the returned order I brought back? Megan said they remade that order and sent it out. They were going to account for the return and then throw it out.
(I WAS STILL HUNGRY, there was no appology or even an offer to make me feel better with maybe the food she would throw out? I was offering the xtra mile at my expense, not McDonalds)
(12 miles and 1.75 hours later, I brought the right order to the customer). I don't get paid for time I could have made more money, I only get paid $1 per mile on a delivery. ($6.01 includes miles and service fee for that delivery. 4 miles time 3 ways, 12 miles???)
This was Thursday into Friday the 19th. I slept Friday and came back out to drive. Today, Saturday,I have since done 3 deliveries with McD's and asked each if that was their policy? They were appauled I was treated that way... I assume it was the policy of those 2 women. Not McDonalds. So was it laziness?, ineptitude to make 2 burritos in 25 minutes of drive-thru wait time or in my opinion, discrimination because I was an Uber driver?,
... Besides a large waist of my time, does it really matter that I'm a driver or is it as I see it... DISCRIMINATION?

Read moreThe McDonald's at 4640 Witman Ln SE Lacey is the worst one in all of thurston county. Inside is stinky and the floors are greasy. The associates are never friendly. When I get a burger I have to adjust the patties and buns so it's in a stack instead of looking like some dominoes that had fallen over. The drinks are hit and miss as to whether they've cleaned the machines in the last 6 months. They mess up special orders almost always. And tonight was the last time I will ever visit this location, no matter how convenient it is. I ordered online. I pulled into the drive-thru and it was packed. It took awhile for any cars to move, but eventually they did. This is a 2 lane drive-thru but only ever worked by 1 person. When I had moved up to be the next one in my lane, I could hear the associate talking to the car in the other lane. She was very rude and I heard her say she didn't know how the app worked because she didn't use it. This was off putting tome because I have worked customer service for 26 years, and even if I don't use a product or service, I learn it so I can help my customers. Next, she takes the order from the person in front of me, and then the next one from the other lane. Then I pull up and she says "I'm sorry, we're not taking anymore orders". This shocked me, and since I had already paid using the app I asked what if I've already ordered and paid? She replied, "if you ordered on the app, you will be refunded 24hrs after you didn pick it up." This did not make me happy, but more happened. There were now 4 cars behind me, so either I wait to get through the drive-thru after all the orders then did accept got through, or I back out. I chose the latter, but then I had to tell the 4 cars behind me what I was told so they would back out first. I did that, and everyone slowly started reversing and leaving. I got back to my car and just as I put the car in reverse, another employee asked to take my order. I told him that I was told they weren't going to take anymore orders. He replied "that was just until we got caught up, now we are". Why would the other employee not say it was until they caught up? For me, it feels like the employee's couldn't care less about the customers, and that is not somewhere I will give...
Read moreI am writing especially for the manager, perhaps for the one who today at 12:30 at night did not give out the Dor Dash order, saying that she did not have filet o Fish. I get up at 6:30 in the morning and go to work for a few hours at lunchtime, I rest then I work until 1:00 am or 12:00 am. I work seven days a week and I earned 15 dollars in an hour today. You did not even come up to me and I had to call you so that you would pay attention to the delivery driver. To be honest, I do not understand one thing. Do you really not understand that couriers are not slaves but the same people as you with rights and your own life with the right to defend your rights in court? I did my job, stood as long as necessary and waited in line. Is it really so hard to come up and not ignore.... You must understand that if I file a lawsuit or get to the head office, you will be fired and you will never be hired for a manager position again. Your restaurant may end up with a lawsuit for millions of dollars for moral compensation. Moreover, you are destroying the delivery by the time I get to the window. issuance the order should have already been delivered but you made other orders..... in the system you clicked that the order is ready..... if this is so and you decided not to give me the order because of my accent and incorrect pronunciation then you did this out of hatred for a certain type of people to a terrible coincidence for you you must understand that you have the right to think and speak according to the constitution but if you do actions do not give the order do not serve because of the color of the skin then in the end you will get into very big trouble...As you can see from the screenshot, I came to work at 7 am and left at 12:31 pm. I still have to drive 20 minutes to get home, and for an hour of work at night, I received only 15 dollars because of the long wait...I work seven days a week and I'm going back to work soon, respect the work of the courier, this delivery provides you with work as well as me, if at night you can't cook a fillet of Fish, then the customer should not be able to order this product....!!!!! This is not the customer's problem, not the driver's, but the...
