We went to this location for a nice, inexpensive Valentine's Dinner. We chose here because it is rather close to where we live. We also chose here for our family Valentine's Day dinner at the request of our daughter (3 years old) and with her being sick for 4 days straight and stuck inside of the house, we decided to oblige her. The experience, however, was absolutely horrific. I don't often leave negative comments, but being that I was in the restaurant management profession for almost 20 years, I felt that something had to be said. We were seated after a short wait (we have no problem with waiting). When the server came to greet us there was no "Hi", or "Hello" just "What can I get you all to drink". It all began here. The server brought my husband the incorrect drink (which wasn't the issue) and when my husband informed him, the server made a huge 'sigh' and stormed away, returning 5 minutes later griping and complaining about it being "hot" in the back causing him to get all "flustered". We sat there for maybe 5-10 minutes before he came back and took our order, after walking past us several times and not stopping by the table. In fact, we even heard him comment to a table behind us, after they asked him for something before they left, say that he "didn't really have time". Our salads came rather quickly, but after he brought our salads to us, he never stopped by the table until after our food was brought. There was another server that brought us bread, and nobody asked us for drink refills. We sat there for almost an hour before our food got to the table, and as I stated, was brought by another server. When the food did arrive, it has terrible. Both, my husband and I , ordered the Chicken Spedini with white pasta. The pasta was dry, rubbery and cold, as was the chicken. We informed the server that brought our food and he apologized. We asked for boxes, we just wanted to pay for the food and leave by this time. Luckily, our daughter was very well behaved but was falling asleep at the table and beginning to feel sick again. The server (not our server, he still had not came to the table) brought us some to-go boxes about 3- 5 minutes later. We asked for the manager. Again, we sat for another 10 minutes and no manager came to see or talk with us. Finally, after 15 minutes sitting there without an appearance by the manger, not touching the food and with to-go boxes at the table, our server came over and said, "How is everything, the food finally came out. It took so long". I said to him, "This is all unacceptable", and told him the trouble with the food and the wait. He just said (extremely frustrated), "Give it here!", as he reached for our plates. We told him "No" and we once again asked for the manager. When the manager (Jennifer?) did finally arrive, she did apologize and did comp our entire ticket with asking to buy us all dessert, but the unsettling part was that she (just as the server) gave excuses for the experience. She said "I'm new to this store...". As the server and manager on duty, take responsibility and stop placing blame and making excuses. By this time, we had had enough and said that we just wanted to leave and get our sick daughter to bed. She offered to buy us appetizers and desserts the next time we come in, IF we ask for her, but to be honest, we will never return to this location again. This was absolutely a horrific experience. I understand being busy and "slammed" as a server, but with the experience that I have in restaurant management, it wasn't the kitchen's fault. Our food sat in the window dying and getting cold before someone else ran the food to our table. We have been to this location on several occasions and have only had one mediocre experience, and honestly, it was when we had the same server (never got his name). We arrived at the restaurant at 6:15p and didn't leave until 7:36p...and we never even ate. We ended up driving through McDonald's, great...
Read moreI haven't been to a pasta house in quite a while, so I was excited to go there for my birthday before going to a show with my friend. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It's clear that this location focuses more on take-out orders (which is fair since there were more take-out orders than diners) but that doesn't excuse the service. When we got there, there were only 3 tables for 2 servers. Our server didn't offer us rolls (we had to ask for them and only got one each.) Also my drink was empty for several minutes while our server just stood there at the bar doing nothing. The server noticed (because of my friend's gift) that it was my birthday and acknowledged that, but didn't say anything or offer dessert at the end of the meal. My fish was burnt but I didn't bother saying anything because the service was so slow and we had a show to get to. The same server also spilled drinks all over another customer and she barely apologized. The busser just sat there and didn't go get a mop, so our server (whom we were waiting for) had to clean up the area herself. Also, she was very "one trip at a time" like my friend asked for a to go box and the bill and she only got the box. She seemed incapable of stopping by more than one table per trip. Also, when my friend paid, the server left her credit card just sitting next to the register (unattended!) while she went and poured a glass of wine. Not sure if I'll ever go to pasta house (much less this location) ever again unless...
Read moreTried to call in a to-go order it 7: 30p and was told there was a 15 minute wait and we needed to call back. Since it was only a 10 minute drive from our house and we were using a gift certificate we drove to the restaurant, ordered and waited. And waited. And waited. We couldn't understand the 15-minute wait considering that there were only four tables being occupied in the restaurant (two of which left while we waited) and the servers didn't seem to be moving any faster which was evident by tables that still needed to be cleared. We we're finally able to place order at 7:50 p.m. At 8:20, we were asking where our order was. We only got a large two-topping pizza and one salad to go. The hostess passed our inquiry on to a server who disappeared. After another 5 minute wait, the hostess went and checked on it herself. Luckily, she returned with our pizza. One member in our party is diabetic. We had to stand outside and have two pieces of pizza prior to leaving so that they didn't have a medical emergency on the way home. What was equally disturbing was that the server at the bar didn't offer anything like bread or a drink while we waited. From what we could tell when we walked in the door, there was no excuse for this extremely slow, nonchalant service. We finally got home and was able to sit down for our meal at 8:45. Completely unacceptable! We will...
