I had not eaten at Arby's in a very long time and since I was driving by one in the Lady Lake / Villages area and had some time to kill before an appointment, decided to have a double roast beef and cheddar with some crinkle fries. I'm glad I did. First, I was greeted by a very pleasant cashier, "Meka," who seemed cheerful and glad to be there, a very nice change when comparing employees from other fast food brand restaurants. After she took our order, she kindly gave me a cup to help myself to a fountain drink (Diet Dr. Pepper) and asked my name so when our order was ready, they could call it out if she didn't see me so I could retrieve it from the front. The restaurant had only a couple tables occupied besides ours and was quiet with some faint appropriate music piped in over hidden speakers. The counter area to collect napkins and condiments beside the fountain drink dispensers was clean and maintained, I appreciate things like that. As we sat eating beside a window, I noticed Meka wiping down tables and policing any litter that may be in the around the establishment, I doubt she found any trash to pick up but she smiled and I'm not certain but may have even asked if everything was alright with our order. Our sandwiches, which were just as we requested, were hot, and the crinkle fries were hot as well and just the right amount of outer crispiness I like. We enjoyed our brief lunch, probably around 11:30 mid week, and I would recommend the place if someone asked for advice on a fast food restaurant to eat at, in the area. Wish I didn't have to, but dinged them a star on the floor being very puddly in the urinal area in the bathroom when I went in before leaving, not their fault entirely I suppose, but watch where you step! I'll return again when I'm back in the area, and I hope for the same experience with only that one slight improvement. Thanks for...
Read moreFor some reason, Google would not let me leave an additional review so I had to add to my old one. I didn’t realize Google limited you to only one review per Restaurant. That definitely makes no sense . *Updated review : May 26, 2024 , this is the third time we’ve been at this restaurant in Ladylake in the last two months and I swear the temperature is about 65° in the lobby. When I ask why it was so cold and what the temperature was back in the kitchen, the person told me that the air conditioner has been broken for months in the back and that’s why they have the one in the lobby running as hard as it can to try to cool off the kitchen and back area. This is because the owner doesn’t care about fixing things that are wrong with this restaurant he would rather freeze the customers in the lobby . I’m going to start going to the one in Oxford, even though it’s a longer drive this restaurant in Lady Lake never seems to disappoint me regardless of when we visit . * Ants everywhere in the restaurant around the front left side. I killed about 40 with my shoes and then we had to move three times. The general manager was actually running the cash register so I went up and told him and he said oh we just had pest control out here. I guess we need to call them back again. Didn’t even bother to come out and look or apologize and stayed behind the counter gossiping with the staff, which was more important than the ants that were running my son and I away from where we were eating . Message to the owner hire a new general manager at least one that seems to care about what’s going on in...
Read moreI placed an app order thinking I could pick up at the drive through-like every other fast food restaurant. I have 3 kids 3 and under and can't leave leave them unattended in a car and can't drag them in. When I got to the drive through (0 people ahead or behind me) - I said I was picking up a mobile order for Sydney. The woman on the mic gave a scoffed and said "Can you just come inside?" I replied with "no, I can't" She told me "fine, come to the window". I drove to the window and her back was towards me - She then looked over her shoulder and cut her eyes at me before walking over to (who I assume to be) her manager and taking a bag and a drink - which I'm guessing was my order (nobody else around). He took it back from her and put it down and followed her over to the window while she told me I had to wait as my order wasn't going to be ready for 3 more minutes. The manager started speaking over her explaining that "the app tells you to come inside" (yes it does...after you place the order) - so basically, they're doing me a favor by not making me come into the restaurant, but I have to wait 3 minutes until the app said my order would be ready. I can't believe how ridiculously rude and condescending he was and what an attitude she had. I told them to keep the food and refund my money - he said something along the lines ok "ok, bye". Ironically enough, as I pulled out of the drive through, an alert came through that my food was ready....and never...
