Joe's Pancake House — Restaurant in Lafayette

I got biscuits and "sausage" gravy to go and it took about ten minutes to drive there after i ordered, when i arrived i waited in a line to pick up order and when i got to the register the order was and had been sitting there, i paid a substantial amount for one biscuit and what was supposed to be "sausage"gravy, there was very little sausage and thats be kind, and not enough gravy to have with the biscuit, i also got hash browns with "sausage" gravy and again not near enough gravy, plus a side of bacon that was cold when i got home less then 10 minutes away from the restaurant, all in all i will not be eating there ever again and would definitely not recommend their biscuits and so called sausage gravy, the whole meal cost me over 17 dollars which was way over priced, i would recommend Hardees breakfast next...

My husband and I enjoy a weekly visit to Joe's Pancake House. One week we have breakfast and the next week we go for lunch. Sometimes we even get breakfast for lunch because they serve for both. We are still trying new things. The spaghetti we had today was very good. My husband is attached to their omelets and wonderful home fries(potato chunks)-ask for crispy. Both are amazing! His next favorite is ground steak dinner. I really love making a sandwich with buttered, toasted english muffin, scrambled egg, cheddar cheese and bacon. It's stacked high and a very filling meal. Absolutely fantastic food! The owner/cook are extremely nice people. I ordered quite a big order, and it all came out to me in prompt time, and very well seasoned, and hot! with my order, i ordered a single pancake. It arrived, and i thought it was a fine size. The owner felt it was too small, and not only made me a new pancake, but gave it to me free of charge, without taking the other one back. Its the little details that really make local small businesses sing.

Both waitresses were very friendly and prompt. the restaurant was very clean, and they were VERY attentive about refills.
