Mango Loco — Restaurant in Lafayette

When I travel with my hubby, I try to seek out small mom/pop type places to eat. I was going to another restaurant when I came upon Mango Loco. This is legit, authentic. The verde sauce has a bite to it, and makes the enchiladas that much better. Plus they are homemade corn tortillas. The beans are perfectly done with that "made with love taste". Ive ordered from Mango Loco for about two years. It's easily the best Mexican food in Lafayette. Consistently good. There is one man (not sure of his name) and one woman in there EVERY DAY. They each personally make sure the food is delicious and that my takeout orders are correct and include plasticware, limes, salsa, etc. This is small, family-owned, hidden gem tucked away in a little strip mall...

This hole in the wall is a great treat! I've never had any Mexican desserts so went here with the goal of trying out Mexican ice-cream. Ended up getting a Mangonada AND Esquites.
