Mr Gatti's Pizza — Restaurant in Lago Vista

We were super excited to have Mr. Gatti’s in Lago since we don’t like the other pizza option in town. We placed our usual order of one pepperoni/pineapple, one pepperoni/hamburger, cheese bread, and a dessert pizza. My husband was the pickup person. He mentioned they were slammed since he could see the stacks of tickets waiting to be made and the workers continuously going back and forth. Aside from that the store was clean and the staff was nice.

Our order said it would take 20 minutes, but it took an extra 20 minutes to get, which was fine because we knew this could possibly happen since we ordered on opening day. So it didn’t bother us. I think I would be concerned if this was the norm for a regular day. My daughter who is particular about her cheesy bread, LOVED it! My husband loved his pineapple/pepperoni pizza. As for the hamburger/pepperoni, I ended up having to call the store because that pizza was super spicy. Normally, I wouldn’t mind but it was for my other two girls that can’t tolerate spicy foods. The worker on the phone informed me they have a blended spice that they sprinkle on all the pizzas that does include red pepper flakes and Parmesan. I wasn’t aware and being a Gattis customer for so long, I was shocked I never knew this. Lol. She passed me over to Josh, the manager. He was very apologetic and gave me the option of a remake or refund. He did inform me if I chose the remake, it would take about 35 minutes since they were extremely busy. We chose a remake, because despite the fact of it being spicy, it was still very tasty!

Overall, our first experience was great! We will definitely be making Gattis our go to...

I called in to place a carry oit order, was on the phone for 20 minutes, the amount of time it took me to arrive to the location. When I walked in the loud Bing of the door went off. No one approached the counter for a couple minutes. Finally a walked towards the back when a girl on her phone just scrolling away finally noticed me, I showed my phone still on hold when I was told they are sooooo busy she apologized. OK I ordered and was Givin a discount which o agreed to. Was tole 20 min to pick up my order. Returned 20 min later and walked through the door, LOUD Bing. Still no response, walked toward my order which I saw on the rack, again girl on her phone just around the corner not paying any attention 😒. Gave me ONE of the sauces, then had to chase her down to retrieve my other sauce that was paid for. ORDER FROM DOMINO'S. ...

This location recently opened. We were excited to have a Mr Gatti’s closer to home. We ordered our normal pizza night order, expecting that delicious Mr Gatti’s pizza that we have enjoyed for many years in Cedar Park. Sadly, what we were given was on par with, at best, Domino's or, more so, store brand frozen pizza.

This is a shame because the location is great, being new it was very clean. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and the order was hot and ready. The failure was the actual product provided.

The toppings were very sparse, the pizza crust (original) was hard, and the overall flavor was just not there at all. This was incredibly disappointing.
