Waffle House — Restaurant in LaGrange

Waffle House is the only place in town that knows how to cook hashbrowns. That is why I go there.

Am sorry to report on the cleanliness of this place. I was by myself, so I sat at the counter. It was not wiped clean by the waitress. Plates were stacked up on both sides of me for nearly the entire time I was there. People had been there when I sat down but very shortly, they left. A second waitress came in front of me, dropped something in the sink and splashed up soapy water on the counter in front of me and didn't even bother to wipe it up. My waitress did finally clean up the plates surrounding me, just as I was finishing up. But she left the entire counter unwashed.

This lack of cleaning up after people left was not the always the case here. My wife and I have been here and things were different. And it is not just because of the pandemic or being short staffed. The waitress had the time, she just didn't seem to want to clean up the counter.

Going to try the new Waffle House...

I’m giving three stars today to Waffle House because of the incident that happened not because of the food. Today was a day, where I saw decency go literally out the window. Where a handicapped person eating at the counter of the Waffle House had his assisted walker sling across the way because one man was above average size and compassion to go around. The manager did nothing and didn’t even tell the person to leave but instead let the member continue to chastise people. I believe the manager could have done something and the cops didn’t even appear to get the situation under control or properly handle the situation but as a bystander who knows. I believe the actions of all could have been dealt with a bit better. Compassion and mutual respect is always the best way!!!! Treating everyone the same and not discriminating against and individuals on the basis of a handicap or race is always the right thing. Kudos to Sara for...

I'm not sure if it's all outsiders or just me but everyone these seemed to be happily enjoying themselves. But when I walked in I received very dirty looks from all 4 girls behind the counter and a deputy sheriff looked like a very angry Hillary Clinton who smelled bad cheese. One girl walked off, another loudly said "I won't take his order, another said "you wanna eat? Well you can just wait!". Finally when I was able to order it had to be to go and the girl immediately walked to the register I paid the $13 and change and gave the remainder of my $20 as tip. Then the cook refused to take the ticket and while they argued I just gave up and left. I still have no idea what the problem was. I'm not from there, don't know anyone from there, and had never been in a waffle house anywhere in the area.
