I love Aldi's and I've been shopping them since the 80's when I live in the eastern part of the country. Unfortunately they aren't widely available in the west.
This one is pretty good. The fresh produce is wonderful, except the bananas, which are almost always too bruised to buy because they leave them in the boxes and customers tear them up. But that's okay, the rest of their produce is top notch and they have a nice selection of heat and serve meals, including Korean beef, egg rolls, ravioli and pizza. We love most of it.
They also have fantastic selection of cheeses and deli meat and other meat products. I'm not crazy about their frozen food area. Not much selection and it is not well organized, but I do often buy frozen veggies.
The main problem with this store is the staff. The stockers will park in the middle of the aisle and refuse to move so you have to go all the way around another aisle. Some (not all) of the cashiers are hostile and rude and they tend to bark at the customers and throw items in the cart. Good thing I don't buy bananas there isn't it? I've also seen a bit of racism from the cashiers. The black ones are extra rude to white people and the white ones are worse to anyone who isn't white or well-dressed. Once i couldn't get cart loose after putting in my quarter and went to ask for help. I finally found someone and she absolutlely refused to help. She said "Not my problem. I asked what I should do. She said, you'll have to figure it out yourself." I was furious and found someone else who would help. Got my cart and filed a complaint against that one. She's still there. I don't think they cared.
I still shop there. Mainly for the produce, but I wish they'd find...
Read moreI start being very unsatisfied with this aldi management. The manager is personally very very sweet, but organize 0 on scale 0 to 10 . 0 is bad.
Today is Wednesday and new sales suppose to be out in the shelf. That was not the case. I went there today around 11.30 today. There were empty shelfs.

Edit: I just left Aldi's and had a poor customer service experience. The young lady with gauged ears did not speak a word during the entire transaction. I can understand if you're having a bad day but don't be rude to your customers. At the bare minimum, good customer service involves greeting their customers. This girl said not a thing. When I walked away I told her "have a super fantastic day", denoting my irritation. She smirked smuggly.
This is the first time I've had a poor customer experience at this location. Hopefully management does something about their employee, some further customer service training perhaps.
Update: Customer service has been back on track. The cashiers are friendly and engaging. I have not seen the rude cashier in a while. I have...
