Stock Yard — Restaurant in LaGrange

At first glance, it looked like a decent little food place. We came for breakfast around 10:30ish. They had no eggs and no biscuits. Basically, all of what their breakfast menu consists of. We decided to try to get lunch, and they had almost none of the sides they were advertising. I asked about the broccoli salad, potatoe salad, fruit salad, and pasta salad, and they didn't have that. Finally, I decided on brisket sandwiches and onion rings. We also got a hot dog and another brisket sandwich. Rather than asking what we want on it upon paying, they asked midway and messed up some of the order. Both of our orders. They tried bringing a pulled pork sandwich, which we didn't order. Then they bring out the correct sandwich, but we're totally and utterly rude. Didn't say a word. Just put it on the table. We saw that they are storing food items on the floor in the dining area and have some trump memorabilia everywhere. Should have turned and ran and gave them my money anyway. It definitely seems like some health code violations are present at this location.

Do yourselves a favor and stop here. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this is one that deserves it! The food was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the brisket sandwich and fries. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. We both were happily surprised at how good the food was. We came from Alabama and wish there was a place as good as this closer to us. 10/10 recommend for the atmosphere, food, and steak cuts. Great service! If you want a real biscuit, this is the only place in LaGrange that we have found in the past 10 years. (Cracker Barrel doesn't come close!) I had the protein platter for breakfast last visit. This time, the biscuit and gravy with an egg on the side. Both were excellent. My hubby gets biscuits every time. This time it was simply egg biscuits.
