There is definitely something wrong with this particular McDonald’s branch. I’ve been to McDonald’s locations across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East, and I’ve never had any issues. They were always known for their excellent customer service and kid-friendly atmosphere. However, I’ve now had problems at this location on two separate occasions.
The first time, two police officers happened to be in the restaurant ordering food at the same time. They witnessed how my family and I were mistreated by the manager, who discriminated against us.
The second incident happened today when they refused to give us our mobile order, claiming there was a two-order limit per car. My wife and I each had points to redeem, and we wanted to add fries to the order, but both the staff and the manager refused, telling us we had to drive back through the line—despite placing all our orders at the same time. There was only one car behind us, so it wasn’t as if the line was backed up. I even asked them to cancel the fries if it meant avoiding another wait.
When I got to the second window for the rest of my order, they told me they were out of chocolate milk. I asked if I could add another item, and a staff member said yes—until the manager stepped in and told her no. She then told me she couldn’t take my order because she was instructed not to.
The manager’s behavior was unprofessional and showed terrible customer service. My kids love McDonald’s, and we order from them regularly, but after witnessing this, they told me they don’t want to eat there anymore. We’ll likely start ordering from other restaurants or a different McDonald’s location. It’s disappointing to see how much their service has declined—McDonald’s used to be a place that would go above and beyond for customers, even replacing food if someone accidentally spilled it. Now, it feels like they don’t...

Read moreI went to the McDonald’s on Union Avenue in Tacoma, along with my son and daughter-in-law. There were two pick up windows and the guy who took my credit card did not tell us which window to get our food from. We waited 20 minutes while at least 10 other people got their orders. Finally, an employee asked what we ordered, but then said that that he knew. When we try to complain about the poor service, he said that the food was being cooked to order. A second employee then came out and told us that the first employee had given our order to someone else, so he lied. He also had a attitude. The second employee apologized and we asked to speak to the manager. She also had an attitude and later accused us of making racial comments to her and the first employee, both of whom were African-American. This was emphatically, not true, so both of them lied about that as well. When my son called a general number to complain about the service, the guy on the phone accused him of making racially charged statements, even though he only had access to video, not any audio recording. At no time did we make any racial comments or curse words. We only went to McDonald’s in the first place because we got into town from the airport at 1 o’clock and McDonald’s was the only restaurant open. These people...
