Spike's Fish House — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

Wow!!! This place was over the top! I recently was in the area with my wife and decided to try spikes fish house. Thinking we were going to have some regular food. My wife and I ordered the Teriyaki salmon two separate orders. Usually restaurants when you order Salmon You receive one tiny piece. Not Spike’s Fish House! I each received two good size pieces of salmon with veggies and rice! Definitely worth the price!! Then we took our first bite! Talk about a game changer!! Let me start by saying that I am not a fish person, so off the bat when co-workers asked if we should eat here, I was hesitant. But I I saw they had chicken options, so I said what the heck.

After some help from the cashier, I ended up getting the cajan chicken bowl with rice and grilled veggies. It was excellent! I was very surprised. The cajan spices were perfect.

I really like the atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Also, the smell of fish is faint, which I am usually adverse to. Wasn't even an issue. I will come back again and doubt I'll ever choose Rubio's across the courtyard again when I am in the area. Nothing against Rubio's, this is...

Been going here for over 10 years, for several very good reasons... Not only is the food excellent, but the staff and service are impeccable. The owner clearly holds both of his restaurants to very high standards. The quality of the fish and shrimp, really everything on the menu, is consistently the best out there. They have a flame grille and the grille guys always do a great job making sure everything is delicious.
