Amazing cup cakes. I waited until second time to try the product & Im not from around Niguel area. The first time I got cupcakes n German chocolate cake. I don't eat German chocolate cake usually or it's been long time. But this was rich n real chocolatey, not overwhelming n tasted like high quality u order at expensive, elegant restaurant, just elegant. The cupcakes last time n just from tonight as I picked up when they were closing are consistent in quality. The cakes are fluffy, moist. Not dry, not under or over baked. I don't know how they do it. I haven't tasted quality like this since I visited Kenya years ago. Where u feel ur getting actual real dessert. Store ones are not really as satisfactory & normally have very little cake to frosting ratio. By the way, their frosting brings it table too, it tastes real creamy and not dry out or flakey like grocery store bought ones sometimes.

I'm gonna end with this, there's one from tonight that tasted & looked like red velvet, it was very flavorful & velvety(if that's a word, it was unexplainable, being honest). I was a little surprised bc red velvet cakes r generally challenging to make perfect (in my opinion at least), but this one was flavorful and the frosting was amazing, it nice and not overly sweet, like sweet- creamy, lightly dense. Their frostings are not overly sweet. The other one was peanut butter flavor tasting n was nice had a light peanut butter flavor not too much, they are pretty but simple cup cakes, attractive. Not overwhelming or over decorated or color dyes everywhere like some places from my products I received.

The various flavors I've had of cupcakes r consistent in texture, taste, n really fresh tasting. It has 1950's but very modern feel to store, well lit and variety of baked goods I believe. Their chocolate chip cookies, all I can say is yummy, just enough crisp, not too hard or too soft, no too crumby either, Cookie dissolves after eating it without leaving crumbs everywhere or u having to wash it down with a bunch of water/milk, cookies were also moist & not overly, greasy very light but still satiating. Yes, chocolaty but not too much either. Overall, authentic, not greasy that's another thing I like about this bakery. I rarely write reviews unless I've experienced good quality n customer...

Are employees on commission??? Let people take their time to decide??? Would not let me think But not in a good way In a passive aggressive manner? Seriously 😳 do customers bother you or something?

Note: I must have purchased 3 dozen cakes or more from this shop. The very first time they do not let you sample the cake. A previous employee that I don’t see anymore actually would cut a slim slice of cake for you to try, which makes the Experience quicker, nicer, and friendlier.

Note to owner people don’t want to make a $55 mistake on a small cake. I have before you had a seasonal cake. I can’t exactly remember what it was but it was cranberry and something else and no one liked it at the party. I should’ve stayed safe and bought the celebration cake, but you want to try stuff new…. just a thought Especially for business But you know what after today I’d rather go somewhere else and get a subpar cake and not have to deal with the stress

And think about that should it be stressful to go freaking a birthday cake? Are you kidding me? That’s insane.

Also the female with the bandanna on Was actually very rude When asking what cake was what in the case She replied with a attitude That are all lined up with the cakes on top. I didn’t comment but They were not lined up with the cakes on top of the case

Think about this???????? You are that much of a Jerk you can’t answer questions about cakes and you are working in the cake shop???

Just so they would leave me alone I actually had to ask them if they wanted me to wait outside until I heard back via text on the type of cake...

Been going to SusiCakes in SoCal for a long time, first to the Newport Beach location starting back in 2010 and then to the Laguna Niguel location because we moved closer to there. Now finally getting round to writing a review which was inspired by my recent experience. First, the online ordering system is fantastic, allowing me to easily customized my cake, add inscription, colors, etc. Then when I picked up a huge Celebration cake I ordered, the service has always been awesome. The ingredients they use are top-notch, like French (higher-fat) butter in their butter frosting. And they have been fast and helpful when I was trying to decide on some extra party things to buy (candles, etc.). They have a great selection there. One key thing people don't report on is how caring they are when things don't always go as expected or planned, which is enviable when you go to a place for so long. This has only happened once, but in my experience they have bent over backward to not question if I was right or wrong, but offered to make up for it overly so. That is so smart, because it has made us a loyal fan and will keep coming back....
