This Sushi restaurant became the my favorite place. I can't believe some folks are leaving bad reviews for this top-notch restaurant. This is NOT the all you can eat sushi restaurant. Don't be confused people If you are the person who likes to fill-up your stomach with cheap quality food and/ or expecting quantity over quality, you are definitely needs to get out of this lovely place and don't leave a bad reviews because you are the one who doesn't have an idea how the sashimi/sushi should be served.
Trust me, this restaurant offers the most fresh and affordable Japanese food you can find in this area.
Additionally, Chefs are super friendly, fast and it goes to same for the experienced waitresses who I've seen them for at least 10+ years. They never missed my orders even though busy hours and super promt every time.
Once again, they are super fast and friendly. Just ask and they will greet you back with a big smile. : )
After all, you'll fell in love with the guy who looks like Jackie Chan. : ) Don't worry. When you see the guy, you'll recognize him 😂
He is loud ( in a good way) and funny has a long hair and makes you worried if he could be the trouble for the owner he is the owner of this restaurant and has a personality to make everyone to smile. Some people could say who cares, but really matter to me because I'm the type of person who would love to enjoy my food and drink where I'm most comfortable and relaxing.
And of course, foods are fresh and they have a variety of sushi, sashimi and sake that you can't find in ordinary Sushi restaurant. Just ask.
Trust me, you won't regret taking your family and friends to this...
Read moreDo not come here. Sushi chef is extremely rude. My son and I come almost every week. We like sushi chef Sammy and like him the best. We do not like how the" manager" makes sushi at all. We went the last time and Sammys area had two men on the outside of his area making little room for two people in the two chairs between them So I asked Sammy if we sat next two the guy right next to his area if he could still make our food. Sammy said yes. We sat there and waited and the chef in front of us asked us what we wanted and I told him that Sammy was making it for us and he said ok. Sammy asked my son what we wanted and he told him. I'm assuming Sammy is making our food. A few minutes later Sammy disappears to the back and the" manager" hands me our food. I can tell by looking at it that Sammy did not make it. I told him I didn't want it and he argues with me trying to force me to take something I did not want. Had I known he was going to make it my son and I would had left. He asked what was wrong and I told him. He's not stupid. I had told him earlier that Sammy was making it but he didn't care and proceeded to make it anyways without asking me.I understand Sammy could've gotten busy. In that case Sammy should have said so and asked if it would be ok if the other guy made it. Then I would have the option of accepting that or leaving. Don't get mad because a customer prefers someone else over you. If you suck then you suck. That's not my fault. But you don't treat a customer anyway you choose and think it's ok. I asked for the owner and the" manager" lied and said he's the owner. If he was the owner that place would...
Read moreWe previously wrote it off because of its location - in a food court next to a movie theatre. But this restaurant is proof you should not judge a book by its cover.
We had some great sushi and sashimi from Ozen at a friend's party and they swore by it, so we decided to give the restaurant a try.
Overall, the rolls and sashimi are good, and decently sized. The "sashimi combo" has enough fish for two to three people to enjoy. Plus they always have coupons available, so you can get a discount pretty easily. The sushi chefs are friendly and receptive to requests.
Although things can be a bit inconsistent, Ozen is reliably tasty and a welcome addition to our stable of regularly visited restaurants. We've been looking for another decent sushi place in Foothill Ranch for a couple years now. What a...
