When I say untouchable service I truly mean it. I stopped in a week ago after my patient got done with a surgery. Something different for her. She loved it all. So much so we had to go again today. She stayed in the car and asked me to go in and order. So I go in and the first thing I hear is an employee by the name of Christian. He is smiling and polite. I tell him I have a strange request. That my patient who is 89 is in the car and would like to know about the menu that's not breakfast and if he would be willing to come out and explain their menu to her. Without hesitation he walks out to the car with me, menu in hand. He gets on his knees and proceeds to read everything she asks about. Told her what to try if she wanted a variety. Stayed there until she told him a big-ish order. Then went inside and rang it all up not forgetting a single thing she asked for. As I waited I watched him move with ninja speed to serve the patrons sitting at their tables, togo orders, helping the other employees, and double checking things. When her order was done he handed it to me with silverware for her just incase. Little did either of us know a stroke of fate was about to hit. My patient asks me what his name was and I tell her. She then tells me his grandma was one of her best friends until the day she passed. Even sitting at her bedside. She asks me to go back in and ask him. Sure enough it's him, his face lights up as he remembers her. I go back and tell my patient and she is lighting up as much as he was.
When he helped us he had no idea who she was. He treated her with compassion and empathy. He was gentle and patient with her. He was a true blessing to her today. Please give him a raise or promotion. He is a gem and a beautiful soul. We need...
Read moreAt thanksgiving ordered the dinner for 4 and it was excellent. It even came with directions how to heat up items do everything would be ready at the same time. I picked it up around noon for a 5 pm dinner. I left an excellent review.
This February I ordered the Valentines Dinner for 4. I picked it up at 4 pm to have dinner at 6 pm. When I got home I realized that It was packed like a take-out to go order. I put salads in fridge not realizing bread crumbs on it which turned them into soggy bread clumps. I kept remaining food in pantry without refrigeration. Couple hours later I had to reheat the chicken which had no seasonings at all; reheat the broccoli but it was forgotten or omitted, reheat potatoes which were excellent and the green bean almondine I discovered were swimming in diced tomatoes. It was a horrible dinner. Some food missing. Some inedible. Some soggy. No salt or seasoning on any of it. I did expect to be along the lines of the Dinner menu I’d purchase couple of months prior. I did not expect any different service than what I had already experienced. I did try to reach out to management and send them a note saying I’d like to find out the problem before I placed a public review. That was on the very next day, 2/15. They responded someone would contact asap. On 2/25 I still hadn’t heard from anyone and sent another note with the same response they’d get back asap. Today is the 28th. For the amount of money it costs and the quality of flavor and service and to not even receive all of your order, I would expect someone would give a damn. I could have worked with a bad day in the kitchen but when my concerns are completely ignored and dismissed well …Or maybe the manager/staff are all incompetent. If they don’t care then...
Read moreWe moved from Dallas to Brazoria County (we love this area!) I was THRILLED to see a LA Madeline open in LJ. If you haven't tried La Madeline- you need to. This is NOT fast food, or junk food. This is food you eat slowly and enjoy- without looking at your phone. Everything is fresh, home made, and delicious. They have an incredible bakery too. 🥐🥖🥮🎂🍪 I had penne pasta with pesto and I added Salmon. 😋 Hubby had La Madeline chicken with mushroom sauce, rice and broccoli. He cleaned his plate- and then helped me with mine. Portions are perfect. Oh, and the complementary help yourself to the sourdough bread is excellent! ( I helped myself way too much 😅🤭) with blueberry jam and strawberry rhubarb jam AND REAL BUTTER ❤️ NOT DISGUSTING MARGARINE. The sweet tea, and mango tea= excellent. Then my husband insisted on taking home desserts. He had to try ALL the Mini tarts, and 2 creme bruleè. Oh. My. Gawd....the Creme Brulee- 💕💕💕💕 if you have never tried, it's a sweet egg custard with a crunchy sugar layer (mini torch) then an explosion of creamy vanilla, butter, and caramel and its just .... oh mah gawd! It's so rich and decadent. Your taste buds will thank you. Patricia the manager was so kind and welcoming. This restaurant is clean and very organized. They have small intimate tables for a date night, and large tables for families. I think this is a wonderful addition to our ever growing beloved Lake Jackson. We need more diversity in this beautiful beach town. 10 stars! (((I apologize for the 'half eaten' food photo. My fat butt was too busy noshing - before I realized oops photo opportunity...
