La Casona Tex Mex — Restaurant in Lake Jackson

The only reason this isn't getting One star because the beans are delicious and the chips and salsa are great... Not wonderful but great.. I ordered one beef fajita Taco Cabana + one enchilada. It doesn't come with pico de gallo, Tasteless guacamole.. This place is such a rip-off The fajitas Do not include sour cream or Pico or cheese. You have to pay extra for it. This place is just not good enough to charge Houston prices... I ordered a margarita jumbo that had very little alcohol in it for $13.. And my plate was so hot because it sat under a heat lamp for I don't know how long and I could not even touch the plate. I had to wait about 3 or 4 minutes for me to even bring the plate towards me to eat ,The food was still so hot because it sat under a food lamp.. The beef fajita meat was chopped into little pieces and way overcooked... Ugh.. And not to mention, the hostess stand had two bored girls in the front that literally took about 45 seconds to a minute to even acknowledge I was standing there and they were talking amongst each other.. My waitress was pretty good though.. Way...

This place was wonderful. We had fajitas for 2 it has lots of vegetables at first seemed kinda odd to have broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and carrots with fajitas but it was really delicious still had a little bite too. We had modelo especial in the bottle for our drinks perfect of course. We had 4 kids all ordered from kids menu. The portions are over sized and even my picky eater enjoyed it so well. The bathrooms were super clean no over flowing trash, well stocked on soap, paper towels, and toliet paper. No spider webs or dust sitting in the corners, tables were clean no chemical seems either. Even though quite business our waitress always had a smile, very polite kept our drinks coming and even put some in the freezer upon request to have the colder. Music was great as well. Edit: aug 16th was probably our 4th visit here , all have been very pleasant. This day was even better because our bartender/server had her adorable little boy there. After a last minute cancellation from the baby sitter the restaurant managment and staff set the little boy up near his mom at a table so she could still come to work and care for him until his father got off work and came to pick him up. I think that is just wonderful of them to help an employee out like that! Staff kept coming to sit and talk with him off and on and I really applaud a buisness for taking care of its employees this way. Our service was still great and the food was wonderful as always. Plus we got to witness a kindness being done and this 3 year old was so cute and kept doing cute 3 year old that had us laughing. It was a lovely dinner had by all.
