Saturday night we were coming home from Houston late. We stopped in to IHOP because of the new burgers they were making such a big deal about. (IHOB commercial}. We were greeted and seated promptly and their appeared to be about eight tables seated already. It took almost 10 minutes till someone came and took our drink order, however the waiter finally approached us apologizing that there was confusion about who was handling our section. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Placed our orders. I ordered one of the burgers and my wife ordered a breakfast combo. I was looking at the menu because I wanted a Waffle too, but there was no listing. I asked the waiter and he said waffles were available. So it was ordered. Nearly 30 minutes later our food comes to the table. My burger was the greasiest thing ever. The top of the bun was shining like it was waxed with cisco. And my wife's pancakes and my waffle were so cold the butter on them did not even melt. I sent my Waffle back to be microwaved for a few just to get the butter to melt. Needless to say I won't be going back because by the end we went to pay and I was charged 7.99 for a single Waffle. Along with 6.99 for a burger and fries. I told the manager and she said it was listed on the menu. I explained to her it wasn't which she proceeded to try and prove me wrong. When she couldn't find a waffle listed for any price she admitted they switch menus. I agreed to pay my total, but told her exactly how outrageous $7.99 was. Also here is a picture of the pancakes that...
Read moreI haven't been able to go out for a weekday breakfast in quite awhile, but it was a treat by friends so why say no!? There was maybe a 1 minute wait to be seated but the crowd was more than I'd expected. The table was clean and the waitress appeared immediately for coffee/juice orders. She was friendly and gave us our menus, took our orders for coffee and 1 hot decaf tea with lemon. She returned shortly bringing the drink orders and got the decaf hot tea order w/lemon correct which brought a big smile from my friend. Shed given us time to read the menu as we'd asked. The food was brought out about 15 minutes later and she didn't even glance around before she placed the right orders in front of the right person. It was really really good to have my eggs still hot! A great start to the day. The woman who'd seated us was helping the waiters clear tables in the area and was talking with us as we got up to leave, and making sure our breakfast and service were good. Really pleasant staff and the breakfast was awesome. The restroom was clean and the dining area was swept clean. Plenty of parking front with addt'lvin the back. Three wheelchair accessible...
Read moreI respect all the food servers. Serving is not for anyone, everyone wants to get good tips but to me you would have to earn that great tip. I believe in leaving great tips for great service. Today we went to IHOP in Lake Jackson to have breakfast and it took a little over 30 minutes to get our drinks (I believe that’s bullcrap that we had to wait that long for drinks), and it took over an hour to get our food. I didn’t get to talk to a manager cause I think it’s pointless, there was a family of 3 across from us and they did get impatient, if you order pancakes you should get syrup automatically, and they should bring hot sauces to your table or at least ask if you get any other food so you can have them there before their food gets there. Our server was walking like if he was a zombie and we only got to see him not more than 4 times including him bringing our ticket. I got to see at least 2 ladies and a gentleman that went to visit their tables at least 6 times in the time we were there to see if everything was ok. PROPS TO THE...
