Let me first say that this is not my first time visiting, as I have patroned this restaurant many times over the last 15 years. I have never had a fantastic experience here but up until now I have been satisfied with my service and food. However, this past time I was disappointed greatly with the waitress we had. Not only was she unfamiliar with the limited menu, she was moderately snide, and overbearing. When asking about ingredients in 2 different items on the menu she just shrugged frustratedly and responded with 'I 'ont know', with no attempt to get an answer from someone who may know. It took us about 10-12 minutes to make our dinner selections as we were both attempting to choose something new, and that seemed to be an inconvenience to our waitress, though they were at less than 20% capacity. The portions have reduced, which to an extent, is to be expected over time. But for a 20 dollar plate, I would have enjoyed at least a full scoop of mashed potatoes with my 12 shrimp. The cornbread was tough as well, which may have been the biggest disappointment, as they always shined with their cornbread and coleslaw. I will say the shrimp was cooked well. Not over seasoned or over done. All in all, if you are craving seafood and dont not want to cook yourself, they may provide what you are looking for. Just do not expect great service, or an exemplary...

I was very skeptical while waiting for a table we haven’t had great service in lake Jackson , However I was blown away by the food, service and atmosphere! We’re new to the area and We always like trying news restaurants instead of the same chain restaurants example red lobster, chili’s etc. So we waited 25 minutes for a table for 6 on a Friday night around 630! Perfect wait time! We’ve waited longer at the above mentioned restaurants! Our waitress was “Amy” we sat in the bar area! Let me just say we were blown away by her ability to stay on top of our table and many others. It was super busy but she made sure we had everything we needed , cleaned our table as we cleared plates and topped our drinks off! Even the owners wife was in the bar area and was checking on us to make sure we were set! If that’s wasn’t enough the food was delicious I had the blacken red snapper with green beans and grilled vegetables! It was delicious, seasoned was right on! My fiancé had the fried and grilled shrimp he said the fries were just as good as “Captain dee’s “ if not better. My oldest daughter had the waffles and chicken her plate was empty enough said ! We have found our new favorite spot for us to eat! You guys have a forever customer thank you for the best service! We need more GM’S and Managers and staff like you guys have at many other restaurants! You guys...

I really want to like this place because i love cajun food. We've been a couple of times now and it has some good food, and some awful food. Don't order the crawfish queso from the appetizer menu.. it's decidedly the worst restaurant queso we've ever had (4 of us). The consistency was more like a gravy and it was extremely grainy.. which happens when either the wrong cheese is used or it's heated too high. The flavor and texture was slightly nauseating and none of us could eat it. It also had a film over the top the way gravy does when it's been sitting for a while.. like it wasn't plated fresh. Their gator bites & spicy ranch are pretty good, my 4 year old loves them. I ordered the chicken & waffles and the waffles were up there with the best I've ever had! Nice and crispy on the outside and soft inside, akin to funnel cake. The chicken desperately needed salt but altogether with the waffles was pretty good. If we ever go back I'd order it again, but next time ask for no powdered sugar on top. They put it over most of the plate and it ruins the cajun french fries. Not only that but when it mixes with oil it becomes almost a weird paste on top of the chicken. The restaurant has potential but it's...

From the moment parking the car we feel excited to see so well decorated local. I loved the big crocodile painting above the entrance. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and enjoyable . All around is wood ( floors, walls and ceilings), like in a “Shack”, and all decoration was perfectly chosen. The music (banjo music) was very appropiate and in an adequate volume allowing us to talk. Plus the staff is super friendly. I ordered Fish Street tacos. They came with dirty rice and spicy beans. And let me tell you those were delicious. The fish was grilled (not deep fried as usually fish tacos are) and it was perfectly seasoned. I experienced pleasure on every bite. I am not sure if I want to explore antother option on my next visit. Certainly we will be back. My husband had the Cajun Red fish. The fish and the cajun ettoufe were really flavorful. Great place for a quality meal in a throbbing place.

Great experience! Server was friendly, attentive, and well informed about the menu. Drinks came quick and were for the most part delicious. The Creole Catfish had the best darn shrimp ettouffe I've had yet. The blackened red fish pontchartrain was dynamite. All the food was excellent. Unfortunately the gator bites were not available because "they only serve fresh gator and it wasn't in season". Which, if true, is good to hear. We will definitely be back as the food was excellent and well priced. Great selection. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. Update: Went back already. 🤣 The Seafood Enchiladas are incredible! Loved the beans as well. Wife decided to include a bowl of crawfish ettouffe on the side because the shrimp ettouffe from last time was so good. Could literally just eat their ettouffe all day.

We went to eat because they had a patio and we had our 3 little dogs with us. The service provided by our server Raegan was very good. She was attentive, prompt, and super friendly. We got an appetizer and 2 entrees. I got the chicken fried fajita steak with jalapeño gravy. It was the best!! My wife got the bowl of gumbo. She said it was good as well. We started off with fried pickles, also good, thinly sliced to make them crunchy (how we like them). My only complaint, and not really a complaint, is more an observation. The mosquitoes got bad after the sun went down. Suggestion: Maybe put a fan on the patio to help keep them away or some sort of mosquito repellant. I know this is the drawback of living near the coast. Anyway. We will return.
