Crumbl — Restaurant in Lake Mary

I placed a pickup order around 9 pm. I arrive at 9:20 to pick up my 12 box of mini cookies. After waiting 20 minutes not being helped, they tell me they’re all out of mini cookies. No big deal. I ask to substitute all 12 for 7 large cookies. I showed the “manager” on the app how a 6 pack + 1 single equals what I paid for. She goes “what do you want” how absolutely rude. She goes back and forth with me then all of a sudden has some mini cookies somewhere in the back. Her and the other two females are not even working, joking around, and talking loudly about non work related things when there is a huge line. The “manager” brings me my cookies that I waited 40 minutes for. She shows every other customer what the cookies look like other than me. She throws the box on the counter and walks away. I get back to my brothers house and the cookies are completely raw. He ate one of the mini ones and 20 minutes later felt super sick to his stomach! This was all caused by this “managers” negligence. It’s very sad Crumbl, I was here for the grand opening and have been coming here multiple times since open. I am a manager in food and if one of my employees ever dared to act like this they would be kicking rocks. The three ladies Monday 4/22/24 at 9:30pm were all disrespectful. It is disgusting that they are the face of the business and ruining lake mary Crumbl Reputation. Came to this location with my husband today, and you would've thought we were made of glass by the way that none of the store clerks even acknowledged the fact that we were in the store. No greeting, quickly fleeting eye contact, and all three clerks continued to gather around and have an extended personal conversation with another customer who'd already received his order without even acknowledging that we were waiting.

This conversation continued so long that eventually two of the three store clerks drifted away to begin filming social media content. Being very careful to avoid making eye contact with us and continuing to not acknowledge that my husband and I were STILL waiting for the cashier to finish her personal conversation with the guy in front of us so that we could order.

Finally, after several minutes of this, my husband chimed in and said that it was super rude for them to continue having a personal conversation while we're clearly waiting to order. The cashier offered no apology for her rudeness and just flatly stated, "What can I get you?"

These employees are in dire need of customer service training as this is beyond rude and unprofessional. And if it wasn't for the fact that I'd drove over here just to try these cookies, I would've left.

I love cookies, and consider myself a cookie aficionado/cookie monster. As soon as I hear of a new cookie place, or someone tells me they had some amazing cookie, I need to go there and try it for myself. A friend told me about Crumble, and I was super excited about this place. I went out of my way to visit this location. The place is nicely decorated. The cookies themselves were ok. I got the dozen, expecting them to be amazing, but I regret getting so many. No cookie was wasted, but I wasn't satisfied. They're chocolate chip is not chocolaty enough. I think instead of using semi-sweet chocolate chip, they use a very light milk chocolate chip instead, which is simply not satisfying as a chocolate chip cookie. The dough is very plain, with not that much taste to it, which makes for a very plain and boring cookie. So that one was my biggest disappointment. The Oatmeal raisin (not a fan of raisins) was actually my favorite one. It had that traditional oatmeal raisin taste, and it was soft. The double chocolate was ok as well. I'm not a fan of sugar cookies, but I got one for my cousin, and he claims is the best sugar cookie he's ever had.
