This 5 star review is ONLY for the super kind blonde worker that helped me on 6/18/24 roughly around 6pm. I was having a bad day and unfortunately, my 10 year old daughter is the pickiest eater ever and only wanted to eat Qdoba. I normally don’t give in to her like that but she’s post-kidney transplant and getting her to eat in general has been such a struggle. I walked into the store, placed her usual order, & was immediately confronted by a male worker who was quite rude. He kind of made me feel as if I was some sort of scammer who was trying to get a deal by only ordering steak and chips. He said with an attitude “are you aware that we charge by the scoop” and honestly I didn’t know nor care how much they were going to charge me because at that point, I’m just trying to get my kid to eat. I truly did not even care that they basically gave me 2 half filled scoops because again.. I just wanted to feed my kid. When I approached to pay, the blonde employee looked at her coworkers and said something along the lines of “I am absolutely not charging her $8 for that” and only charged me $4 something for it. So, I just wanted to come on here and say that SHE is why I will be returning to this Qdoba. While I initially didn’t care how much they charged for my daughters food, her kindness to charge me what she felt was right was heartfelt and I appreciate that. She honestly deserves a raise and/or higher position in the company in my opinion. Some of her male coworkers could take point on her customer...
Read moreService is mediocre most of the time but the quality is starting to slide. I have had issues the past three visits. The first one was the restaurant opened late because the got a catering order and didn't have enough people to manage the order. Second time they were out of Mango and when I order the Mango Chicken salad I was told they were out of mango but they could still make the dish for me. Huh? The last time may well be the last time I go to the Lake Stevens location. I waited in line with 12 other folks and at first only one person was working the line, then a second joined while a third washed her hands a few times but didn't see interested in getting involved. When the line didn't move she finally joined in moving the slower (maybe newer) employee down the process to help speed things up. After waiting 20 minutes in line (no exaggeration) , the lady in front of me is told they are out of chicken. When I order the steak, guess what they told me, yep they were also out of steak. So for twenty minutes they watched all these folks in line but no one keep the food bins filled.
When I asked to speak to the manager I got a lot of flack from the person I first asked. When I got the manager, I asked for her managers name and she didn't want to give it to me. When I persisted she finally gave in and gave me his name but refused to give me a way to contact him. She said she would pass my contact info on so he could call me. I am...
Read moreI have had a number of issues with this location over the years, but getting to know when certain staff was on shift and when the food would be done properly helped me to come back. I've had quite a few health issues that have made getting around difficult, hence why I tried to go back to the house of the Diablo sauce. Today though, I had three issues in one visit including bone in some chicken and that was the final straw. The food (rice, chicken and steak) was bland and flavorless, and I found myself forcing a few bites just so I could eat some lunch. The chips were soggy and stale. I didn't know that was a combination possible. The bag also barely had enough chips to cover the bottom when I'm used to a bag half full.
At one point I was told that because of my ordering style, I would be charged double from then on. When I called their corporate office about it, the DM made excuses and said it was a miscommunication, and the manager swore they hadn't said that. Three separate staff members told me they were lying though and that they had been told specifically to charge me extra during a store meeting because of how I order my food (double rice, double beans apparently equals double charge even though it isn't stated anywhere in their menu it is an up charge.)
Over the last month, the people I enjoyed as employees have been leaving and I have decided if I need Qdoba again I'll drive 25 minutes away, instead if 5 minutes...
