There aren't too many restaurants or places in general that can get me to go out into the cold weather. However, this place is the exception! Since I no longer live in the area, and they add such a robust amount of ingredients into their tacos no matter what you order on them, they do not travel well! So when given the opportunity, you better believe that I will be putting on warm clothes and the Ugg Boots to go and indulge in the best Steak (Carne Asada) tacos the South Side has to offer. They are also known for their Carnitas tacos as well. In addition, they offer Chicharrón and Carnitas to be bought by the pound in the front of the restaurant where you get to pick out your own pieces to take home and make whatever you'd like. My husband ordered a taco of Lengua last night and very teasingly gave me a small piece of the meat, which was so tender and so flavorful, I had instantly regretted not getting a 4th taco but knowing how full I had gotten in the past from my usual 3 I figured I'd wait. But he wasn't even expecting the Lengua to be as delicious, tender, flavorful, and mouthwatering as it was and instantly regretted only ordering one. Their Salsa Verde (Green Salsa) is very tasty and definitely has...

There are not too many places that I am willing to venture out into the cold for! Especially, for food when we have options of delivery or eating whatever we have at home! However, this place is the exception! Since I no longer live in the neighborhood and the tacos here are made with such a robust amount of ingredients for whatever it is you ask for, they definitely won't travel well! So, if given the opportunity to go there to eat, you better believe I'm pulling on the warm clothes and Ugg boots! Because I refuse to pass up the opportunity to fill my mouth and stomach with the best-tasting steak (Carne) tacos on the South Side, by far! Also, my husband ordered the lengua, and it was so soft and tender! I was fortunate enough to get one tiny piece of it from his taco and I wished I would've ordered one of those too! They are also known for their carnitas which we indulged in as well. But one of the plus sides of this place is that, they offer Carnitas to go as well as Chicharrón that you can hand pick your own pieces to take home and make whatever you'd like with them! Never disappointed at this place! The Salsa Verde (Green Salsa) is also very flavorful and definitely has...

Pacos Tacos is one of those places you call home, a hidden gem, located in multiple places around the city. This place is the first thing you have to do if you come from out of town or if you are a permanent resident in chicago. It's an iconic location to eat an incredible meal and on top of that you have the rare opportunity to interact with the chef, while cooking your tacos, right in front of your eyes! The best tacos on the south side of all of Chicago. Been coming here since i moved to the city. My go to is the steak tacos with everything on them, onions, cilantro, a touch of lime and don't forget the red and also green homemade salsa. The meat is so soft and I love the flavor that comes with every bite, Very genuine. If you are still hungry, for seconds i have to go with the barbacoa tacos, those are even better and so tender. Especially with a cold Jaritos for a drink. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of my life it would recommend these tacos. I've been coming to this place for years and i will never stop, this is a place for the soul and heart. I can tell you you have a reliable...

As a Mexican native, when you come in, the place is very rustic. There are no tables but a bar with high chairs to sit which are not very comfortable. The menu is not visible from where you order. So, I asked the cashier what she recommended. I got the “chicharron Rojo,” “Lengua,” and “Asada.” the tacos were well served and had good taste in a plastic red basket. “Pacos Tacos” did not have Mexican Coca-Cola, which is a bad point. I ordered “horchata,” which tasted good but was sugary. The place can use fresh painting and an easier-to-read menu on the wall—also more comfortable sitting and Coca-Cola products, dessert, and Mexican coffee. The bill was less than $20. Each taco is around 4 dollars.

I went to the other locations years ago, and I didn't care much for the food to ever go back a second time. Now, to this location was my first time going, and wow, was I surprise! The tacos were awesome!! And huge!!!! The place was busy, but we still got our food pretty quickly. Everything was great! I'm not much of a salsa person, but I did enjoy the green salsa. I actually went a second time about a week later because of how good they were. Definitely in my top 3 fave restaurants.
