We hired Drip for their live station service for my daughter’s 16th birthday party, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our party ran from 6–9 PM, and the ice cream station was scheduled to arrive at 7:45. At 2 PM (while we were in the middle of party setup), an email was sent saying they needed to push back by an hour. There was no follow-up phone call when we didn’t respond, so we didn’t see the email until much later.
On top of that, there was an unexpected thunderstorm that forced us to move the entire party indoors, which made it even harder to check email. By 8 PM, when we realized they hadn’t arrived, we called and were told they were pushing our time back. Since the girls were leaving at 9 PM, we had no flexibility left and had to cancel last minute.... I ended up scrambling to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cake so we’d have something to celebrate with.
What was most disappointing was that the owner was unapologetic, blamed the delay on the storm (though the original delay notice was sent hours before the storm), and we were not refunded our deposit, leaving us out of pocket for something we never received.
This was actually the second scheduling issue we had with Drip (our order was initially double-booked even after we paid the deposit), which makes me think this was another case of overbooking. I typically only write reviews when I have something positive to share, but I do feel it’s important for others booking Drip’s live stations to know what happened so they don’t end up in the same situation.... especially for a...
Read moreThe small samples I've had sometimes were good, like all the pastry things, but I had a milkshake recently that I really did not like. It was called Very Berry but I could barely taste the strawberry flavoring, which felt either watered down or was just the bit of strawberry syrup that was stirred in as I drank. What I did taste felt like chemicals, which faded a little as I mixed it up a bit. It wasn't very berry, and was in a container much too small to be worth 10$ for the end result. (To be fair it's hard to do strawberry drinks well, but that means when one is advertised it usually is really good). Pastries seem to be good, the fruit smoothie I had wasn't...
Read moreI tried the High on Hazelnut as it was recommended as a top seller. The waffle with two scoops of ice cream ran about $20. We got one scoop vanilla and one scoop oreo. The waffle was fairly soggy and thick. The Oreo ice cream also was unpleasantly sweet. The vanilla ice cream for us was the star of the show—it was the only thing my wife and I found good. The waffle was also drenched in chocolate syrup in a way not shown in photos. Overall I didn’t find the dish I ordered up to our tastes and the price to be a bit obnoxious for what we received. My wife was excited to come, but we left severely...
