Duffy's Tavern and Grille — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Even though the atmosphere was pretty chill with the games and stuff, this bar was gross in my opinion. I ordered a whiskey sour and it was the flattest and nastiest one I’ve had at any bar to the point where I felt nauseous the rest of the night. The live band that they had in the back wasn’t good and was way too loud. But what really solidified my one star review was a server or someone who worked there that kept circling our table every 3 minutes to grab “empty” cans and throw them away for us. It wouldn’t have been an issue had he not kept reaching over us, brushing up against all of the girls in our group and making us uncomfortable, AND he put his hands INSIDE of our beer buckets and putting his fingers over the rinks of the cans we hadn’t even started drinking yet to see if they were empty. It was gross and very unprofessional. We were there for about 2 hours so he did this to us at least 10+ times to the point where me and another girl at our table said out loud “we’re fine, please stop grabbing our drinks”. When that was said, he only came back in faster intervals and would angrily stare down me and my friend and made us super uncomfortable. Then when we were leaving, we were standing by the door waiting for our friends to finish using the bathroom, so he stood by the door with us staring at us instead of clearing off the table which is what he was doing all night? So the moment the table was empty, he could have started clearing the table which is what he had BEEN doing all night, but now that we were leaving instead of continuing his job, he actively waited for us to leave and stared us down until we did. Unsafe for women. I felt genuinely unsafe after an incident where a man tried to physically fight me because I boxed him out from my friend who already told him she wasn’t interested. He aggressively shoved me from behind and continued to advance at me yelling in the most enraged way I’ve ever encountered by a stranger, repeating, “WANNA GO? OH YEAH? YOU WANNA GO?” Five of the guys in the group I was with immediately intervened and a bouncer came over, but the bouncer LET HIM STAY THERE. My friend had to actively seek out the bartender to tell them that the man needed to leave. However, I still saw him as I was leaving by myself about an hour later. It made me so uncomfortable, and fear that he would see me and follow me out. The staff were clearly trying to keep either a buddy or a regular from getting in trouble. I will not be back to Duffy’s. Have been here several times. Today had the worst experience I have had at any establishment in a very long time. 6 of us came for drinks and appetizers, everyone but my wife got our food. Stopped the server twice to tell them we never received our nachos. Over 40 minutes later still no nachos even though I watched 5 orders (I was keeping count)get orders of nachos. No apologies, nothing. And it was not busy. Then the server brought us the wrong bill, then brought our bill that had Nacho's on it. They had our card all ready but still we had to wait 15 minutes to get our receipt after all that time. And again not a single apology. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Ridiculous.
