Friar Tuck — Restaurant in Lake View Township

My friend and I were excited to go to Friar Tuck for the first time (mainly because of the cool door) and went here to try the espresso martini samples that were advertised at 8pm and were rudely told "they are available whenever 'she' gets here" and that they are "just a shot". We were aware that they were "just a shot" and were simply interested in visiting this place for the first time and trying a sample of a drink we normally enjoy. Friar Tuck sucked me in after just a few minutes there. This is now my Friday spot and all the bar tenders and most of the regulars are now my friends. The staff have a welcoming, open-minded family feel. You do get some Wrigley spill-over, but the bar tenders (and regulars!) defend their space and maintain the Friar Tuck vibe.

I've been to this bar many times but my most recent visit kind of ruined it for me. When I closed my tab for two beers the total seemed high so I asked what I was billed for, which they write on little sticky notes attached to the credit cards. I was told I ordered three beers, and I replied that I only had two.
