Gutenburg — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Ordered it and food came quickly and hot.

Gutenburger Burger has a soft bun that’s toasted on the grill, a very good beef patty that is crispy with perfect seasoning and very fresh burger veg.

Chicken Schnitzzel Sandwich was amazing - super tender chicken, good ratio of fillings to protein, and another soft hoagie roll bun toasted on the grill. My only suggestion would be adding some seasoning to the breading of the chicken.

French fries are crispy and delicious. The heat stays but one portion is definitely big enough for 2 people. Sodas come as cans or as fountain drinks.

Just noticed this spot was open and the man who greeted me (who is I assume the owner) was very kind and welcoming. He indicated that it is indeed their first day open to the public.

I ordered the German dog as a meal, which included fries and a drink. It totaled between $10-$20 which was very reasonable for the quality of the food.

My goodness, the German dog was impeccable. Crispy onions, their cheese sauce, (some other ingredients I forget), and the perfectly cooked sausage. Plus the bun was hearty and toasted. I am so glad I made the choice to get the dog.

The fries were made to order and they came with a spicy sauce and a side of probably the freshest kraut I’ve ever had.

Overall, this place is overpriced. The burger is really small for $14, and adding a combo costs an extra $5, which isn’t worth it for what you get. The ingredients barely stand out since they use such small portions. While the taste is good, one burger isn’t even enough for one person. Additionally, the fork that it was on our tray was dirty, seems it was not washed enough.

The fries were good, and the place has a nice environment. However, the bathroom was completely dirty, with no toilet paper and no soap to wash your hands. The cashier was rude and the person that was cooking was using her phone.
