LUCY'S @đŚ4570 N Broadway Ave. IS GREAT! Like another reviewer wrote I've walked past it for sure 100 timesđ¤Łliving nearby. 1st x went in there my Son ordered the BUFFALO BLUE FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH NOT ONLY WAS IT HUGE BUT I TASTED IT & REALLYđGOOD! I FOR SURE WOULD GET IT MYSELF IN FUTURE! I ordered the Fried Pickles, eat earlier just not really hungry that day but they were VG also with great side sauces! The inside is TOTALLY AWESOME, decor & music is "MY guess" from hmmm....60's & 70's TOO COOL! PLUS walking past LUCY'S on Broadway St. someway somehow (not alwaysđ¤) you can hear the oldies music outside on speakers in which it not only gives a very fun but also a very comfortable vibe!!! TY UPTOWN Uplift, Chamber Of Commerce, Alderman, City of Chicago etc. & LUCY'S cuz just allowing the music outside not only picks up customer's but it also leaves a memory of "Uptown" to stay here & ppl to come back!!! I absolutely loved it inside along with my Son loving it too!
I stopped in there walking by 2/1/24â°8:50pm just checking it out. OMGosh the 2 gentleman Nate & Karl working near closing it up where super! Not only were both 2 staff N & K made me feel very welcome, but also knowing that I was not ordering anything that night as I was just checking it out cuz my Son had picked it to go to, living out of state when he visitsâĽď¸me a few times every year. Tonight Fri.6/7/24 about 4:45pm I walked in hoping to find out both gentleman's names, coincidentally I recognized both of them, sooo...I never knew them mentioning their names in previous post, but again both Nate & Karl both were working today being very kind, helpful & accommodating! I hope that both of these 2 employees get recognition deserving it, as they really went above & beyond necessary being cool, welcoming & kind...helloooo repeating near closing time 2/1/24 & today 6/7/24! These pics r absolutely nothing like it is inside, well worth going there yourself! If u can sit near entrance door east side window w/great stools DIRECTLY on window side Broadway Ave. & Wilson St. it's fun watching outside the ppl, VERY BUSY area Wilson Red line around the...
Read moreThe best burgers in the area! I did takeout a lot when I was pregnant and each burger made my life significantly better. I took my daughter here after we moved to a different neighborhood and she loved the atmosphere and ambience. Itâs such a comfy and cozy spot to eat, the food is 10/10, and the staff treat you like good family. I wanted to note that even though Iâve been a loyal fan of Lucyâs since 2020, I fell off when it came to the name changes in their menu. I called to be sure I would order the correct burger (honestly, any burger by them would be sufficient and is worth a try) but I got the pleasure to speak with Sofia, who was AWESOME. They were so knowledgeable about the menu and just overall SO kind and accommodating, I felt like I was solidifying dinner plans with good friends. Sofia was so helpful and took the time to explain things to me in an âexplain it like Iâm 5â kinda way but in no way did they seem annoyed or condescending even though I was asking very basic questions and currently they are very busy with customers. They were just extremely welcoming and pleasant and made me love Lucyâs even more. Today is my birthday and Sofia made it really great by just being so kind and making me feel like Iâm welcomed and appreciated. 10/10 would recommend the menu (delicious), employees (fantastic and so sweet), and the beautifully decorated location in Uptown that transforms you from a busy street to a warm and welcome atmosphere. I always recommend Lucyâs to people in- or out of town for the tremendous service, exceptional food, and the value for your dollar. Iâve never had a bad experience and Iâve been eating at Lucyâs for almost 5 years. Thank you, Sofia!! You make this location...
Read moreToo expensive for the food that they serve and the service is EXTREMELY poor! I went in there on a Saturday around 5pm after getting off work. I ordered a hamburger(cost:$12.00) and a side salad. When I asked what kind of pop they served, some dude with long hair told me sarcastically "Soda." Trying to keep my cool after a hard day's work I said "do you have Coke-Cola?" He acted like I was asking for the moon! And when I asked what kind of salad dressing did they have, he said "we only have one kind." Now even McDonald's has more than ONE kind of salad dressing, and when my hamburger was served to me, McDonald's is WHERE I should have gone: Lucy's "burger" was as SMALL as one of those slider burgers that they serve at White Castle! I'm thinking: is THIS what I paid $12 dollars for? Even with 2 burgers, there was not much taste to the thing, and it was gone in 4 normal size bites! There were NO condiments on the table, and the waitress was acting like I was asking for the world when I asked her for some mustard! If you are not willing to get the customer what they want and need, what is the point of coming to their table and asking if EVERYTHING is all right when you really don't want to know? All and all, and I HATE to give a place a bad review, but it would be a disservice to my readers if I gave this place a good one: PLEASE only go to Lucy's on Wilson and Broadway in Chicago if you are 1: STARVING and 2: you like wasting your HARD...
